Tiny easy things that make a difference

I’m thinking of things like:

*glass of water with every meal

*2 pieces of fruit with every breakfast

handcream and cuticle oil next to chair so more likely to actually use it

deep conditioner and a face mask every Sunday

Does anybody have any more ideas that are so simple that I’m likely to keep doing them? 😀

Stand on one leg whilst brushing teeth to challenge your balance.

Do some squats whilst kettle boils.

ThreeRingCircus · 29/12/2023 09:10

I do the hand cream by my chair one.

I keep a compact powder, tinted lip balm and refillable perfume atomiser in my handbag and another set in my car at all times so I can quickly put them on if I want to feel a bit fresher when I'm out and about. It just makes me feel more put together.

I keep my vitamins next to the kettle so I don't forget to take them every day.

Whenever I go to the loo I do ten pelvic floor squeezes after I've finished on the loo but before I stand up.

SparkleyMud · 29/12/2023 09:12

Keep plastic bags in my car rather than kitchen and never use them.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 29/12/2023 10:19

Lipbalm in the pocket of each of the coats I wear most frequently.

I like the stand on one leg suggestion. Will try that!

Spare earrings in office desk in case I leave the house without any

carry tweezers for stray hairs ( that u may spot during the day )

cutivle oil by bed , last job of the day

Zephyry · 29/12/2023 10:26

Big glass of water by the bed and drink it as soon as you wake up
Fill a big bottle or jug and top up glass from there during the day
Agree stand on one leg for teeth
Plank for a minute and 30 squats before you get dressed
Brush teeth after dinner and make a herbal tea to sit down to watch TV, good routine so you don't end up snacking in the evening
Make large bowl of salad to last a couple of days and keep in the fridge to add to most meals as a side, just make it routine and you will be getting plenty of leafy greens without thinking about it too much

Take makeup off (if you wear it) and do evening skincare as soon as you get in from work (if you work) rather than wait until bedtime.

Floss/Tepe teeth after evening meal, rather than wait until you brush your teeth at bedtime.

Zippedydoodahday · 29/12/2023 10:29

Every time you see a red light (traffic light or on appliances etc) do some pelvic floor exercises.

Hedjwitch · 29/12/2023 10:32

Hand cream by bed,by sink,in car and on desk at work.

Lip balm in every coat pocket. Its very easy to make your own.

Stand on one leg or do pelvic squeezes in the queue at the supermarket.

Make big pot of soup and freeze in individual portions to take for lunch at work.

Ewoklady · 29/12/2023 10:32

I use a liquid multivitamin and take a swig when I wake up to grab the milk from the fridge

I bought containers yesterday to batch cook veg etc

Ewoklady · 29/12/2023 10:33

Also tanning wipes (like baby wipes) I use these every other day !! They are quick and make me look less dead

GreenLampLight · 29/12/2023 11:17

I wash down my Vitamin D tablet first thing in the morning with a glass of Vitamin C juice /one of five a day. Two/three ticks in the box right there while still in my pyjamas.

LlynTegid · 29/12/2023 11:19

Consistent sleep times.

Augustus40 · 29/12/2023 11:39

Magnesium 9pm.

Pelvic floor exercises every morning since menopause.

Pixiedust1234 · 29/12/2023 11:58

I do the tiptoe stand while I brush my teeth as recommended by the GP when I was diagnosed with plantar fasciitis. Never had it return (also helps with balance).

Internal cleaning isn't for food it's for plaque, only needs to be done daily, best to rinse with water and wait at least 20 minutes to an hour then you can interdental clean followed by brushing which will feel fresher anyway. then mouthwash at a different time if it's important to you standing on one leg then

Allthroughthenight23 · 29/12/2023 13:00

If you like the sauna replace lost fluid in there with a fizzy vitamin table in water. Also some conditioner on your hair in the sauna gives a great hot conditioning treatment. Dry brushing before a shower - doesn't take long. Reusable cloth sanitary pads = less plastic beside your bits!

Whattheheckcarer · 29/12/2023 13:04

Slow cooker.
Small bag of overnight things in case they need to be grabbed.

Sunnysidegold · 29/12/2023 13:12

I keep a wee pouch in the centre console of the car - tweezers, mints, lip balm, hand cream, emery board, wee hair brush, couple of paracetamol. I keep a couple of twenty pound notes inside the log book (nearly forgot these when I sold my last car!)

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 29/12/2023 14:02

Some good ones here. No car or gym though, so hopefully those ones will be useful to others.
