Pushchair I can push one handed?

Really need to find one that I can push one handed, folds really easily and that won’t cost a fortune. It’s for a large 1yo, mostly shops but maybe the odd dog walk. Single handed as I’m also trying to control my 2yo with the other hand. I really need to give up my beloved out n about double but don’t want to as nothing else compares. I can’t afford a single O&A and second hand they are like hens teeth.

Ive tried a Hauck which is awful. Also a red kite, even worse. Don’t want a huge travel system.

Please can anyone save me from wasting more money?

Can you not just keep the double still? I'm a and was gonna suggest the out and about. I find it still easier to push a half empty out and about than other single prams. Could you look for a second hand out and about single?

Maclaren techno arc
baby jogger city mini

I have both. They can be pushed one handed, fold small and easily.

pros of maclaren, umbrella fold and is super light.
cons seat is quite narrow and basket is small

pros of citi mini
massive seat ( my disabled 4 year old fits fine )
massive hood
easy fold
massive basket

cons heavy to lift
fabric fades
expensive new but worth it as sells on well

Baby jogger city mini gt is fab, and has a hand brake too rather than a foot one. We have both the single and the double, with a 2 year old I'd be sticking with the double you have already got though and not using a single till they were older and walking reliably.

Thanks everyone! I’ll look at the baby jogger.

I think I will get a board but need a pram to attach it too…the hauck has had a swift trip to the charity shop today.

Im currently just pushing the double half empty but DH thinks I look a little crazy and that it needs to go 😄 It’s also really wide to get through while holding a toddler to the side!

We had the old Baby Jogger and it wasn't ideal for using with a buggy board - the angle of the seat with the handlebar meant there wasn't much room for a toddler to stand, and you had to walk awkwardly to push. Don't know if the newer models are any better.

We ended up getting a secondhand Bugaboo Bee to use with the Bugaboo board, which works great, as the handlebar extends to give more room and the board is off to the side to allow you to walk normally. Can push one handed, and is quite cheap secondhand as they've been discontinued.

My small travel pram is a maxi cosi lara, which folds small and is possible to push over handed. It's also more cost effective than some other travel prams. I tend to use it when I take my one year old on the tube/train, with it folded and him in a carrier when there are steps. It's not great if you need to carry loads of stuff in the basket.

Phil and teds sport. You can attach a second seat underneath so if your 2 year old gets tired they can hop in.
You used to be able to pick them up
quite easily/cheaply second hand
