Built in electric oven - better to replace or repair?

Apologies if this is a stupid question. My built in electric oven has - with perfect timing - stopped working properly.

It is a NEFF fan assisted oven. From fiddling around it seems it doesn’t work when on the fan settings - it gets warm but not hot , but does still seem to on the non fan setting and grill. So I think maybe it’s a problem with the fan?

It’s a 10 year old oven ( and the seal is also
slightly loose). Just wondering if at that age, given call out fees for repairs as well, whether it’s better to get a replacement in the sales or get this one fixed?

Any advice from someone knowledgable appreciated!

It's probably the heating element and can be replaced by an electrician. Cost me £90 for the element, 90 for the electrician's time.

What timing! Hope you're going elsewhere for Christmas dinner!

Look up the model online and price up how much replacement parts are. Our oven packed up over the summer, it was over 10 years old and a discontinued model so it was cheaper to get a new one than buy spares to repair it. What rotten luck this close to Xmas!

Thanks both - will take a look online.

Sadly was needing it to cook Xmas dinner for me and the DC. Have borrowed an air fryer from a neighbour and the grill is working so will have to cobble something together somehow.

Would get a takeaway but have all the food and not enough freezer space!

Almost certainly the fan heating element. A relatively simple job to replace if the part isn't too expensive. If you have a local white goods repair person get a quote from them.
