Am I mad?

We're lucky enough to be taking our 4 year old DD to Disney in Florida on boxing day, for two weeks.
I'm a primary teacher and we start back at school while I'm still on holiday, but because I'm part time I'll be back Thursday Friday that week which are the days I work.

Problem is it's an overnight flight on the Tuesday night, but because of the time difference we probably won't get home until late Wednesday afternoon.
I'm panicking now. I've got to teach most of the day Thursday (thankfully get a bit of PPA in the aft but still). Our DD also has to go to nursery on the Thursday.

I've been to Florida before but don't really remember being affected that much by jet lag, just a bit tired if anything.

1st world problem I know, but is jet lag really bad coming back from the US? Or is it worse going the other way?

It's just two days until the weekend, and hopefully you'll be interacting with your pupils most of the time (and can have a five minute nap in the ladies at lunch). You'll survive!

It's only a five hour difference. You'll probably be tired, but not so tired that you need to panic. Just try to get to bed as close to normal time as you can. Let nursery know that DD can have a nap if she needs. Enjoy your holiday!

East is the beast, west is the best.

You'll be tired, but you'll survive.

Thank you so much.
That's reassuring
I'm trying to plan a couple of fairly easy days at school so all my planning will be done at least.
