We have Netflix, sky and Disney. The one I was going to watch needed recording on sky. Thought I could just stream it. Oops. Anything funny will be a bonus. Help! Thanks

Arthur Christmas is the favourite of my 12 and 17 year olds

IcedupTulip · 21/12/2023 18:25

We’ve seen that a few times. I’ve found Click and Collect which is an option. Or a non christmas film - the family swap but think they want christmas.

I really liked Click and Collect! Klaus is on Netflix if you haven’t seen it?

Interested in this thread?

Have they seen Elf? Griswolds Family Christmas (little bit rude but should be fine for 12 yr old!). Both funny. Watching thread with interest as I have a matching pair of DC 😀

Whu · 21/12/2023 18:26

Klaus
Elf
Nightmare before Christmas
Christmas with the cranks

tootrueblue · 21/12/2023 18:32

Genie on Sky/Now

AnnoyingPopUp · 21/12/2023 18:35

Click & Collect is brilliant
Arthur Christmas and Elf also v v good

frozendaisy · 21/12/2023 18:35

Get Santa
Gremlins
Batman Returns
Any harry potter because you know magic

Alasitsme · 21/12/2023 18:36

I've seen it but can't remember...does Click n Collect give anything away re Santa? Would love to watch with DD but she still believes...

Mumaway · 21/12/2023 18:38

Scrooged?

BriceNobeslovesMurielHeslop · 21/12/2023 18:39

@Alasitsme I don’t think explicitly but as it’s about a cross country race to get a toy on Christmas Eve, it might give the game away 😕

It depends, if your DD believes that all presents are from Santa then yes it would spoil it for her, as the whole premise is a dad going to buy his daughter the present she really wants. But it doesn't explicitly state that he doesn't exist, I don't think. Does kind of suggest that he's a homeless man who publicly urinates though...

BriceNobeslovesMurielHeslop · 21/12/2023 18:40

@Mumaway I used to find Scrooged quite scary but I was quite a squeamish child!! I almost suggested Krampus but it’s a 15, it might be a bit much for a twelve year old.

BonjourCrisette · 21/12/2023 18:46

Nativity is on iPlayer. My 17 year old watched it last night and thought it was hilarious.

Tanaqui · 21/12/2023 18:49

Die Hard!

BarbaraVineFan · 21/12/2023 18:57

Planes, Trains and Automobiles!

underneaththeash · 21/12/2023 19:03

National lampoons Christmas vacation!

Alasitsme · 21/12/2023 19:04

Thanks! In our house, only small stocking presents are from Santa, others are from us so hopefully ok!

greenacrylicpaint · 21/12/2023 19:08

gremlins?

LovedFedAndNoonesDead · 21/12/2023 19:08

Candy Cane Lane on Netflix is a great new Christmas film; we love both Christmas Chronicles films too but they may be more difficult to find

greenacrylicpaint · 21/12/2023 19:11

planes trains automobiles is thanksgiving rather than christmas

  • love that film though
Megifer · 21/12/2023 19:11

Die Hard 😬

Megifer · 21/12/2023 19:13

Gah just seen someone else has already said that.

Can go wrong with Die Hard. A true Christmas film.

Florabella · 21/12/2023 19:18

I have just watched Click and Collect with a 16 and 24 year old, and we all loved it. Some proper laugh out loud moments

caringcarer · 21/12/2023 19:22

Sky Movies Genie. My 17 year old loved it.
