I did a surgery via my insurance. My consultant shared the procedure code say ABC which is pre-approved from the insurance.
Now after the surgery is done, the consultant changed the procedure code to XYZ though the treatment plan didnt get changed at all. The new procedure code (XYZ) is more inline with the treatment I had.
Not sure why he changed the procedure code after the surgery. The new procedure code costs less than the first one.
I am feeling so disappointed and totally worried now because I am not sure if the insurance company is going to approve the new procedure code as they got lot of exclusion criteria. What can I do now ?
