Oops. The Terry's Chocolate Orange, bought for DH, didn't make it into the wrapping paper this evening.
In my defense, the box was slightly damaged!

I accidentally sat on a Lindt teddy so obviously it was then no use for gifting!

I believe you. 😁

@BlowDryRat Go to home bargains! They always have loads, all year round aswell.

I used to do this all the time. This year I have knocked a Lindt Santa out of the cupboard where it was hidden with all the stocking presents, and swore at it a lot as I was left with some expensive chocolate fragments in brightly coloured foil. Other than that I've resisted temptation this year since I realized last Christmas it is just not worth the stress of having to run round sourcing the right gifts a second time and discovering the shops have sold out of chocolate coins leaving one child without any or that chocolate oranges have stopped being on offer and tripled in price etc. Now I just buy my own chocolate and have that instead! Less stressful. Even the Lindt Santa was an exasperating special trip to three shops to find one that I just didn't need.

I did a fake Xmas with all my 3 adult DC, partners and dgc on December 9th. My elder son gave me a few gifts. One was a large box of Maltesers. I was surprised because he always gives me a small box from when he was a child. Then his gf told me he ate the small box he had bought for me and he felt so guilty he bought me the large box as a replacement.
