Never had one, don't know anybody that has one so I need advice please! Bit of a last minute gift for DP (skilled and enthusiastic cook). I imagine him using it for potatoes and vegetables mainly. We are a family of 4.

TIA

If you've landed here looking for advice on which air fryer to buy, Mumsnet has a guide to the best air fryers, including the models Mumsnetters rate the most highly across different threads.

However, if you're short on time, here's a roundup of our top picks (our best overall is recommended on this thread several times!)

🥇 Best overall: Ninja Foodi Max Dual Air Fryer AF400UK, £240

🥈Best budget: COSORI Air Fryer 5.5L, £59

🥉Best for a family: Ninja Foodi FlexDrawer Air Fryer AF500UK, £217

We hope this is useful!

I love my Ninja...it's a dual zone, so 2 drawers.

It's easy to use, quick, easy to clean. We use it a lot.

If you don't have a slow cooker or instant pot then one of the multi-cooker type might work for you? I have both these separately so I went for just air fryer.

We do have both of those separately so just an air fryer is perfect. Thank you!

I bought my first one last month, and I haven't regretted it. I used this Mumsnet Swears By as guidance and plumped for one of the cheaper Ninja dual drawer models.

Edited

Brilliant link, thank you!

Ninja dual drawer! We use it a lot. Do not regret buying it at all.

And chicken is delicious in it

There was a TV programme last week about cooking Xmas dinner in an air fryer.

Mine is very basic and small, a pork chop covers the base but it is fine for me. I think for a family two drawers would be better then you can cook at different temperatures and times.

I love it and got my dad the same one. He was a bit scared to try it but a steak persuaded him to use it.

I've just got a tower invector last week.
Thought I get one about £100 to see if I like it.
This one was in the sale on amazon at £98 it's brilliant.

My family have the Ninja Dual Drawer, which is perfect for their family of five and is in use most days.

I live alone and I have a small Cosori 2 litre Air Fryer. It would be no good at all for a family as it only has room for one chicken breast or four sausages at a time. However, I have mentioned it here in case someone is looking for an air fryer for one. It was very reasonably priced on Amazon and takes up very little room on the worktop.

Both my adult kids have the Tower two drawer type and are v pleased with them.
It's currently on Amazon for £97 - they paid £135!

I'd seen all the reviews for the Ninja Dual Zone and wanted one but thought it was expensive however the final decision to buy one was made by DP after trying to pull out the drawers of all the other air fryers in Currrys and it was the only brand on display that could be pulled out single handed without pulling the machine with you.

We bought it in the Black Friday sale and have used it frequently since then (just 2 people in house).

There is a Ninja available that you can adjust the size of the drawer which might be a better option if he's a keen cook? I'm not sure if it works as a dual zone in the same way though.
