Breakfast

I'm going out for breakfast this morning with a friend, then onto a spot of Christmas shopping.
I don't ever normally have breakfast, usually only when on holiday or, like today, making a point of going out to eat.
(The kids don't ever go without breakfast though)

What's your regular breakfast at home?
What do you have if you're out?
Do you view it as a very important meal?

I love going out for breakfast, I wish I could do it more often.

At home I only have a piece of toast with either peanut butter or Marmite.
Occasionally I'll have a bacon sandwich (on a weekend) and sometimes I add avocado.

If I go out, it depends on what's on the menu- full English, kippers, scrambled eggs, avocado on toast with poached egg. The list is endless!

Enjoy your breakfast and shopping. Sounds like a nice day.

If I was going out for breakfast it would mean I would have had nothing, or very little, to eat before going out, so I would be making a meal out of it. What I would eat would depend on where we were going. So if a proper restaurant with cooked to order items then I would have a cooked breakfast and maybe some toast. If more fast food then I would have a bacon bap or similar (or maybe two! Remember I would be hungry) and if just a cafe with limited or no cooked food items then a Danish pastry or two with gallons of coffee. I wouldn't be wanting cereal or porridge if I was going out to eat.

I often don’t fancy much, but if I’m working don’t have another a chance to eat before 1pm or so. I like to have a little something or I get a bit lightheaded.

An oatcake with a bit of cheese, small bowl of natural yoghurt or handful of nuts works.

Hotel breakfasts are a different matter, especially in mainland Europe. Then I fill my boots! My favourite breakfasts are in Central Europe- rye bread, local cheeses, kefir, custards, berries, salmon, loads of cakes.

Like Umani I love breakfast (brunch) out, I went Christmas shopping yesterday and started the day with a coffee and pastry in a lovely artisan coffee shop (on my own). My favourite would be avocado and bacon on toast.

I don't always eat breakfast at home as I prefer to just eat two meals a day ... brunch and an evening meal (I lead a very sedentary lifestyle & genuinely don't need to eat a lot) but at the moment I am eating porridge in an attempt to help chloresterol levels ...

Enjoy your breakfast!

Guilty admission- I actually love a McD's breakfast Blush.

At home:
toast with jam or honey during the week
At the weekend maybe a brioche, french toast or American pancakes if we have the time.

When we go out for breakfast then waffles, french toast or pancakes.

I can't stomach savoury food first thing in the morning, a full english or eggs or similar is awful for me.

Yes I also enjoy a sausage and egg McMuffin occasionally!

Breakfast at home normally cereal, or toast or yogurt and fruit. Eating out I'd probably have a bacon butty or small breakfast - mind you if it was nearer 10am, I'd forego breakfast for cake😂

I don't normally eat breakfast at home as I don't feel like eating that soon after getting up but I do make myself a latte every morning to sit and drink while DDs have breakfast.

I love going out for breakfast though as that's always more like brunch by the time I'd be eating. My absolute favourite would be poached eggs and avocado on toast but I also like a full English when I'm on holiday.
