I would buy these, I love them.

I am just £260 short! 😀

A Time Machine.

caringcarer · 14/12/2023 04:07

A ticket to watch the Boxing Day ashes next Xmas including flights to Australia and 3 weeks accommodation and spending money. I've always wanted to go. I'm really hoping when DH gets his lump sum next September as he's 60 so will start to get his occupational pension he will decide to treat us both.

This beautiful teapot. It's in my Amazon basket until I have a windfall and then I shall treat myself...

I collect teapots. My favourites are Royal Albert. You can get some good pressed ones but never used as only been on display on eBay.

I have ordered an Apple Watch - justified by the massive change in activity levels that it will apparently bring on 😂

Oooh hard question as I don’t buy stuff for the sake of it (minimal living)

Plants for the garden?
Something for the caravan?
A voucher for a massage?

A shed. A really lovely one with a wood burning stove and an armchair, lots of shelves and hooks and a window.

Ooh yes this sounds perfect .

StarvingMarvin222 · 14/12/2023 06:22

If I could buy myself something, money no object.
I would get a decent size tattoo, like a back piece.
But unfortunately I'm a couple of grand short.

@Isanyonereallyanonymous have a look for a local "unbranded" 70.3, much MUCH cheaper than an Ironman and can be just as fun!

A two week family holiday somewhere big enough for family to join if they wanted to. Might as well go big

MumChp · 14/12/2023 06:52

A holiday. Without kids and husband. Just sun and relax...

LadySpratt · 14/12/2023 06:52

I would stop work so that I can have a proper run at Christmas and the New year. I’ve had enough of having had the festive break ruined by work for years. And yes, I’m working Christmas next year. And the following two Easters.

Wendyspotatopeeler · 14/12/2023 06:55

I've bought myself all my presents and I'm so excited about opening gifts I actually want. DH is shit at gift giving and I'm done with disappointed Xmases.
I've bought myself a beauty box from boots, a gold necklace and some nice toiletries I've been after.

Same here. I generally am not a fan of "stuff"- I know that makes it hard for others. but my family know me ( and I drop hints).

This year I have asked for bird food , I have a feeding station for smaller birds, and a skin care kit- some good Greek olive oil is always something I love.

Moredarkchocolateplease · 14/12/2023 07:51

Well DH is hopefully getting me some new dumbells and definitely my favourite dark chocolate!

But if I could have an imaginary gift, it would be a reversal of peri menopause which has basically hit me like a car crash and I'm sick of thinking about all of it. So like some other PPs, better health.

Just had a look, now I want them all, they are so beautiful (and I don’t even drink tea)

Leafysuburb · 14/12/2023 08:32

A kindle scribe. Or a lovely new fountain pen and a hobonichi.

Picklemeyellow · 14/12/2023 08:33

Same here Moredarkchocolateplease peri has been so much harder on me than I thought it would. I’ve asked my dh for this for Christmas, it will probably do sod all but I’ve seen some women online say it helps them and Napiers have apparently been around for 160 years and it’s not too expensive. Hoping it’ll help even if just a little 🤞

You could get a jeweller to make you a new ring using existing stones

I plan at some point to get a new ring that will be similar. My original ring wasn’t at all expensive as we were young and poor at the time, so the stones probably aren’t really worth reusing. It has sentimental value rather than £ value.

Isn't that insured on your house policy as a named item.

Insurance might cover it, but it certainly isn’t valuable enough to be a named item. it was bought when we were young and poor.

Eybyegum · 14/12/2023 09:03

Lensbaby lenses for my camera and studio lights

squeekychicken · 14/12/2023 09:06

A pair of russel and Bromley boots. I'll prob buy myself a pair in new year.

eurochick · 14/12/2023 09:06

A new iPad. The screen on mine has a patch that doesn't work and it is so frustrating to get halfway through a form or something and then not be able to complete it because there's a box in the bit I can't use.

Fifiesta · 14/12/2023 09:09

To wake up on Christmas morning with all the rest of the refurb work on our place totally finished.
A normal home life after 3 1/2 years would be priceless…

ssd · 14/12/2023 09:34

A week in stobo Castle with loads of treatments and never worrying about money.
