How worried should I be - bouncy ball and toilet

My five year old just dropped a bouncy ball, diameter probably around an inch?, by accident down the loo in my Victorian house. It’s no longer visible…

On a scale of 1-10, how worried should I be about the plumbing? Any advice? 😱

Do you have another loo? I wouldn't poo down the bouncy ball toilet for 24hrs or so just in case it blocks and you have to throw the poo out of the window.

Is the plumbing original Victorian or has it been updated at some point ?
Original, you might have a problem. Flush frequently and watch for signs of a blockage.
Renovated, more likely to be ok but I’d do the same for several hours. Flush and watch. Any sign of blockage you might need a plumber.

If your drains are in good condition once it’s got past the u bend it should be fine and on it’s way.

We do have another loo. I’m not sure how modern the plumbing is, we’ve not lived here long and I’m no expert.

One reassuring reply at least - it seems to have passed the bend… Don’t think DC flushed afterwards but someone else may have done.

I'd say that the toilet is designed to seamlessly whisk away things with a diamater of an inch or more and it will be in the same place as those other things. It might be bobbing about on the other side of the u bend where you can't see it, but I'd say it will be on it's merry way by now.
