Parking in Leeds

Sorry this is a bit dull! We’re coming to Leeds for an event on Friday. Our hotel is near the station is has limited parking, but I’ve been told the middle of Leeds is a nightmare with parking. Any good parking ideas? We’ll be coming up the A1 then across on the M62. One option is Stourton Park and Ride, any other suggestions? otherwise I was trying to work out if there was a local station somewhere close to the M62

We need to head of quickly in the morning to get home.

Yes I think that one always fills up when there is a big event on at the arena.

Ah, Ds is in The Plaza the other side of the Arena.

White Rose Cente is no where near the Merrion Centre.

The Elland road park and ride doesn’t run on weekends any more. But it’s only a quick taxi from the Center

We stayed in Leeds recently and we parked at the multi story near the Armouries and walked into the city, as pp have said there is a water taxi too.

We always park at the trafalgar street car park. But not open overnight.

We go to Leeds a lot and always book Claytons Hotel, purely because it has a nice big car park underneath (we also have a huge 4x4). 10 min walk to City Centre.

There are some car parks a 5 minute walk from the station on Whitehall Road. Expensive but convenient for the area.

We have left cars at Stourton park and ride before overnight and they’ve been fine, have always been quite a few people doing the same as the last buses back are early! Elland Road doesn’t run a bus back on a Saturday so you wouldn’t be able to use this one, I’m not sure if they lock it on days it’s not operating so you might get stuck?! Driving into Leeds is a bit of a nightmare but the car park near royal armories is fairly easy to get to although a bit further to walk, but you could get an Uber to and from.

Trinity or q park over the round from it above bibis. Easy enough to get to just join the loop from near the ibis hotel. Have left my car in q park loads of times overnight and never an issue. It is expensive though to park in Leeds.

I left mine overnight at the Temple Green P&R. There’s a Lamborghini place right next to it so assume there’s some security on site. Anyway, my car was fine.

We use Trinity or 2 weeks ago we used the car park at the train station for the weekend, - arrived at 3ish on the Friday afternoon and plenty of parking available if that helps

You could also P&R from one of the local train stations, eg, New Pudsey, 10 minute train ride to Leeds and huge free carpark.

The light is central and easy to access
