Does this recipe book exist?

I want to get a pasta recipe book for my 13yo nephew as he has become quite keen on cooking, but pretty much only basic pasta dishes. He is autistic and super bright, wants recipes to be very clear and straightforward, no waffle or rambling about the history of ragù. He has zero interest in celebrity chefs so not looking for one of those books unless in fits the bill in most other ways. It would be great if it included a recipe for basic pasta dough. He doesn't have any real interest in presents so I want to get him something useful and functional that will enhance his enjoyment of cooking. So... any ideas wise people of Mumsnet? 🤔

I have This which has some nice recipes in, not too tricky or with ingredients you wouldn’t have.

There's absolutely loads on Amazon, I hope you find the right one.

Silver Spoon.... The Delia of Italy. Some of the things being cooked are challenging for some pallets but the recipes are short, simple and very little waffle.

@Unescorted what a fabulous cookbook! I think it would be too much for my nephew but I'm seriously tempted to ask for it for myself for Christmas!

I have the Hamlyn All Colour Cookbook 200 Pasta dishes which sounds exactly what you are looking for.

I was going to say the Silver Spoon too. Whilst huge it is clear and accessible

These are amazing suggestions, thank you! I really like the Gennaro Contaldo book as it seems straightforward and clear, with the added value of authenticity. The Hamlyn book also ticks all the boxes and might be more suited to my nephew, it's hard to choose! @daylilies I love your suggestion too but it has to be just a pasta cookbook 😊

Women's Weekly series are also good... They have picture recipes when they are more complicated. All sorts of cuisines if he wants to branch out.

You now have me thinking of the books I started out with.

This is a good one. The Top One Hundred Pasta Sauces (Square Peg Cookery Classics) by Diane Seed (2012-10-10) https://amzn.eu/d/6Dbei8J
