Is it not possible to just buy the box any more? It looks like if I buy this game for my son there will be nothing tangible under the tree. I'm not creative at all. 🙁

Help!

@GladioliandSweetPeas £40 is plenty enough for a "main" present.
In my humble opinion.
Edit: in fact £40 is perfectly fine for a "main" present plus a few others.
What's it to you how much people spend on gifts anyway?

Love the Poundland puzzle maze idea - but they seems to be sold out. Has anyone seen them in stores? Thanks for the tip @nomoresnacks

Needmorelego · 07/12/2023 21:16

@SlurpSlooChortle where in the country are you based ? I've seen them in various South East London branches of Poundland.

I wrapped west end tickets for DDS birthday and made a little treasure hunt out of it.

SlurpSlooChortle · 08/12/2023 14:05

@Needmorelego
I'm in the Midlands

Needmorelego · 08/12/2023 14:06

@SlurpSlooChortle oh probably a bit far to travel then 🙁

Confused38246 · 08/12/2023 14:08

Print it, put it in an envelop in a box with another present wrap that box inside another box with another present inside another box.... All can be low cost items linked to the main gift.

Abbyant · 09/12/2023 18:01

Print the code off put it in a jewellery box then for added fun wrap it in seven layers of different wrapping paper, sit back and video the hilarious result.

toomuchfaff · 09/12/2023 18:18

what's your point?

Caterina99 · 09/12/2023 18:33

I’d print out something (I assume you can print out the code bit or the email or something) and tape it to a selection box or socks or other larger cheap gift of your choice and then wrap that!

loudbatperson · 09/12/2023 18:34

"They cost about £40 max. Most are £20-30! Of course I realise a lot of people are very much struggling but come on, £20/30/40?? Total?"

@GladioliandSweetPeas lots of new releases are £70+ these days. But even if this game was £40 what is wrong with that? Why the need to comment, people can afford to, or just choose to, spend different amounts on Christmas.

😂😂😂 yeah right. £40 max... 😂 clearly someone doesn't buy games for Xbox etc

Montegufoni2017 · 09/12/2023 20:06

@GladioliandSweetPeas

You knew exactly what you were saying and how it would be perceived but you thought to hell with it, I’ll be obnoxious anyway!
You got called out and rather than just ignore or apologise you’re trying to gaslight as if you never even said it like that in the first place 🙄

@springbabydays wasn’t after opinions on if it was enough so it’s odd you felt the need to pass such a judgment.
If I ever gift something non tangible we tend to make a voucher. They’re often funnily crap like badly photoshopped pictures of the person receiving the gift; doing the gift (if that makes sense) Eg- Mother in laws face photoshopped on a 20 something woman at a spa for a spa day gift.

memememe · 09/12/2023 20:12

Amazon have loads of puzzle cubes that you can put the code inside. We usually gift one when we give money as a present. Makes it a bit more fun!

Kaycee0105 · 10/12/2023 12:26

My son just recently bought FIFA and it cost almost £100 so no they don’t only cost £20-40. Even if it was only £30 it’s nobodies business what other people choose to spend on their child
