Dentist for 3 fillings. Help!

I’ve got an appointment tomorrow that I had forgotten all about and have work commitments after it.

Will it hurt? How long will it take? I’ve only factored in an hour! Will I be able to drive and have meetings (online) after it? Should I get some special foods in that I’ll be able to eat?

will be 100% fine after
won’t hurt or if it does…. mildly
and don’t go for nuts or hard food but maybe a sandwich and pasta etc

You are likely to have a numb face for an hour or so afterwards which can make your mouth droop and make it hard to drink, as you can’t feel your lips properly.

You should be told not to eat anything (because of chewing on the filled teeth) for a couple of hours afterwards to allow the fillings to harden properly.
You might find it difficult to talk and drink until the anaesthetic has worn off (a couple of hours - depending on your metabolism) and you may look a bit odd during that time.
if your work commitments include meetings then I would try to rearrange or, if that's not possible, I would say at the start that I had just been to the dentist to explain any slurring etc.
You may be a bit sore afterwards, depending on what you have had done. A little filling should be no problem, but the injection site may be a bit uncomfortable. I had a root canal filling yesterday, which is fairly brutal. I can't bite on that tooth at the moment simply because of the bruising making it sore - the nerve pain has completely gone - and it's no problem at all if I don't bite on it. I was a bit swollen afterwards as well - the dentist told me it was due to the amount of liquid she had injected into me rather than anything else.
So - you could be a little swollen, you will be numb and look a bit odd for a couple of hours, your speech may be affected, but you shouldn't be in much, if any, pain. Hope that helps.

You'll be absolutely fine, they will give local anaesthetic so it won't hurt at the time and it's unlikely to hurt afterwards. An hour will be plenty. Of course you can drive. Don't eat for two hours afterwards, but then you can eat whatever you want (within reason).
