Has anyone ever cracked a frozen windscreen

Has anyone ever cracked their frozen windscreen by pouring warm water on it to de-ice it rather than using spray de-icer or scraping?

Just wondering how likely it is to happen?

I mentioned on another thread I saw a method on TikTok where you fill a strong carrier with hot water from the tap and gently wipe it across the windows. Works perfectly and there was minimal condensation inside.

I caused an existing crack to lengthen once doing this. But never had a problem on serviceable glass. So as long as the glass isn't damaged I think you could say it is safe.

Your not supposed to put hot water on a wind screen it will crack warm water only
