Have you tried the Kohinoor curry sauces? Just pour it over browned chicken and you have a delicious curry. Serve with naan bread or white rice.

Microwave rice packet, tub of soup to pour over, grated cheese out of a packet. Great standby.

Have you got a slow cooker ? Find these meals super easy
E.g sweet potatoes, chickpeas, jar of curry sauce , mushrooms . Delicious after a few hours or could be done in oven

Minute (sandwich) steak, broccoli and cauliflower mix (freezer veg) mashed potato.

macaroni -cauliflower cheese

pork chop, apple sauce, mixed root veg ( potatoes, parsnip, carrot, sweet potato) and butternut squash cubes and roasted with a bit of olive oil and salt/ paprika or ‘dirty fries mix’ spice and bottled yoghurt/mint sauce

falafels (mix or pre prepped), bag of coleslaw veg (salad aisle don’t add the mayo), fried peppers and onions and naan/ flatbread. Add raita and spicy sauce to taste and serve with lettuce or cucumber diced

Carbonara is surprisingly easy and my kids actually eat it! I use the BBC good food recipe.

I don't find cauliflower or macaroni cheese at all quick. And it creates such a lot of washing up too.

Cook pasta
Add pesto, pine nuts and chopped baby spinach / cheese it / eat it

Roast butternut squash or cauliflower / when nearly done add paneer to it and roast / add chickpeas and curry sauce (I buy the Spice Tailor ones when they're on offer) and stick back in the oven until hot / add spinach / eat with Tilda microwave rice

Start jacket spuds off in microwave. Transfer to oven. Roast a pan of mushrooms/peppers/onions/cherry toms/courgette and aubergine if you like them, which I don't. Add herbs. Eat with lots of cheese for a very bastardised ratatouille.

Maggie packets

Stir fry - you can buy the ready prepared vegetables and straight to wok noodles.

Jacket potatoes with whatever fillings you like.

I really like the Hello Fresh recipe book. Some of the recipes take a bit longer but there are lots of really nice and quick ones as well. I bought it on Kindle for 99p and it’s been well worth it.

Shakshouka. Lazy variety. Tinned tomatoes, onions, frozen peppers, chillis and spices. Fry your onions and spices until the raw smell has gone. Add everything else. Cook it down until the flavours caramelise. Poach eggs in the liquid on top. One pot, little mess, cheap ingredients, delicious. Serve with bread. Or whatever you want.
