Home plants that reduce moisture in the air

Are there any home plants that will help control mositure levels in a room?

I know the obvious replies will be don't dry clothes indoors and open windows and use dehumidifiers.

I don't dry clothes in my bedroom and the window is being opened every day. I have a small dehumidifier from Amazon and to be honest it's useless. It's ok. The bucket still collects water but still there can be condensation on the windows. I would love to invest in a bigger and better dehumidifier but I can't right now because of the price of them.

I am awful with plants by the way and it will be lucky if it's watered once a week or once a fortnight.

None.

In fact the ones advertised in newspapers as reducing moisture don't.

Save your money for a better dehumidifier. In the meantime wipe your windows down regularly.

I really think that would be an even bigger waste of money frankly. They won't do anything.

Wipe the windows, open them whenever you can and absolutely save up for a proper dehumidifier, they're fantastic and will solve the issue.

Plants actually give off water when they "breathe" so it would make the problem worse.

Nope. And I'm agog to find out what sort of plants are being marketed as such.Confused

The best thing to do is to prevent the cause of the humidity in the first place.
