Help for careers

I have 3 children, 2 under 2s and a prenager but I also care for my father who's severely disabled. I'm currently out of work because my baby is only 7 weeks old and I don't think I'll ever be able to go back to work as I care for my father more than 35 hours a week. Anyway I get careers allowance but it's taken directly from my UC so basically don't get anything, I'd do it for free anyway but it's just costing me an absolute fortune and I'm struggling so bad financially. So I have to travel to his on a bus and it's costing £8 a day and then food and that whilst I'm out etc. Also I have to take the children so that costs as I'm often there all day. He can't have anyone else care for him because I've done it for years and he doesn't want anyone else. I've applied for the £43 element a week to help but they haven't approved it. Is there any other help I can get financially? It's just if someone else was looking after him they'd be paid and as much as I love him I have a family to provide for. Even if it's just travel costs.

Can you ask your Dad to cover your travel costs. Would a season ticket be cheaper?

I couldn't bring myself to ask my dad for travel costs. I don't want him to feel like he's a burden. X

Can someone else be hired to help your Dad (as a standard), and then you attend alongside to person initially to oversee things a bit, then if he becomes comfortable with the person, then you can attend less over time, this decreasing your travel costs etc. As caring for your Dad with 3 children under 2 in tow must be really heavy on you anyhow
