Sugar free chocolate help?

Hi all
I have a child in my family who last year got a giant cadburys dairy milk for Christmas - I'm not sure if it was 750g or 1kg but it was big.
Anyhow, they've asked for a similarly large bar but sugar free this year and I'm struggling to source one.

Any ideas? I use pure heavenly for sugar free chocolate, but I cannot find a big bar by them or anyone else. Thank you

Sugar free chocolate will be full of sweeteners which are worse for you than sugar and I wouldn't be giving them to a child.

Plus they'll taste revolting and likely have laxative effects if eaten in large quantities.

Sounds like it's time to get this kid on board with the idea of quality over quantity.

If they can't eat sugar due to health issues can you get them some small sugar free chocolate bars, which they won't want to eat loads of anyway, plus a nut selection with some dried fruit in?

Seriously, don't get sugar free chocolate . If the child gorges on it they will be quite poorly ( on the loo.)

I was on the toilet for 3 days after half a normal sized bar of sugar free chocolate. Those artificial sweeteners are lethal.

Don’t buy sugar free chocolate, especially not for kids. Most sugar free versions of treats are much worse for us.

OP, not sure you are still in need of sugar-free chocolate, please don't listen to the rest of the posters. I buy 99% dark chocolate, it's an acquired taste but actually there are certain brands that produce really lovely chocolate with minimal sugar (1% as suggested by the name), which may taste somewhat bitter at first but the tastebuds adjust overtime. Lindt and Godiva do versions of 99% chocolate bars that are really lovely and I was able to source from supermarkets like Waitrose and even Asda in the past. Here is one example https://www.ocado.com/products/lindt-excellence-99-bar-100217011?ds_rl=1291426&ds_rl=1290929&gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQiAhc-sBhCEARIsAOVwHuTnGLrkOsCXP9eTgC94bU-8YPu-S5n-LzNhrWVayXx1klYp3pn3z88aAqgvEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds

And this is the list of ingredients- as you can see there are no additive or artificial sweeteners here: Cocoa Mass, Low Fat Cocoa Powder, Cocoa Butter, Demerara Sugar, Cocoa Solids: 99% min.

There is a lot of variety in shops like Whole Foods or Planet Organic - here is one. Hotel Chocolat used to do a dark chocolate subscription, which was amazing. Not sure if they still do.

Thank you @Howmanyroses , I don't think I've ever tried more than 80%! It was for a child who wanted a 1kg bar like the big dairy milk one. They eventually got a gift pack from Pure Heavenly which was made up of 100g bars. I'm not sure the 99% would be to the taste of a child, but I'll be sure to try some! I didn't like the 80% I had, I think that was Green and Blacks but I'll give Lindt a go thank you ☺️
