Does anyone else have to feed their toddler?

I know the advice will probably be not to do it and he won’t starve which is true, he won’t actually starve, but won’t eat anything like enough. If you feed him, he does.

I am just wondering if it’s only us or if others are guilty of this too.

I fed DD until she was 6. Whatever gets food in them reliably.

How old? If they’re a young toddler then I wouldn’t worry too much, my DD wouldn’t feed herself until about 16 months, then she started daycare and they sorted her out as they can’t pander the way a parent can 🤣 She was consistently a bit late with a lot of her fine motor skills though, not massively so, but reception was hard as she struggled with pencil grip, scissors and dressing after swimming. She caught up by end of Y1 so we don’t think there’s a specific cause but it is worth keeping an eye on as for us, feeding was the first thing.

Nearly 3 (January.) Glad it isn’t just me! He can - just lazy.

DD could, just lazy! Also COVID regression definitely played a part.

Mine would feed himself at nursery, no problem. At home it's a different thing, he will eat but not enough. 3 in January too

Exactly the same here @Tbird5 !
