How to not get ripped off by plumber as disabled woman

Water is leaking through the ceiling when we have a bath or shower.

Also it takes forever to drain sink or bath.

I have fallen on hard times and a tradesman recently tried to rip me off with a different issue. So I am feeling very vulnerable and lacking in confidence at the moment.

Could anyone please advise me how to avoid getting ripped off and whether they have had a similar issue? What was the cause snd is it DIYABLE?

@NoCloudsAllowed Wow that's shocking - I wouldn't have imagine they go to the lengths of offering money to change reviews.

@easilydistracted1 Good tip. Before you said this I looked for reviews of drainage company that partner picked and could not find any review at all. The name is very similar to a company that has loads of 5 star reviews on quite a few platforms.

I will put in those words though and see what comes up.
