Yes I've had £33 and another £5 headed over soon too just this week.

Boots, lounge wear, a new scarf, trousers. It's really easy to sell

StressyMessyJess · 25/11/2023 17:13

Hi, I sell on vinted.
What help does she need?

Doggymummar · 25/11/2023 17:17

I do

onlyconnect · 25/11/2023 17:19

I do. It takes a while to get the money but things seem to sell quickly

NormalForNuneaton · 25/11/2023 17:28

It's easy to list things and they often seem to sell quite quickly.

Less idiots than on ebay or Marketplace too IMO (well, so far that is!)

I think the only help she needs is finding the nearest place to post her parcels I suggested post office (Royal Mail) there isn’t a evri parcel shop near her nearest is 8 miles. She just wanted some tips on selling , I said posting clear pics and selling only things in very good condition, as long as ironed and not shabby that sounded good to me. I couldn’t advise her on the label printing she had said she thinks she has to buy a printer, as I said I’m old school so I’m as naive as her 🤣

Yes. Hundreds on threads on Mumsnet about this. Do you know how to use the Advanced Search function?

NorthFaceofthelaundrypile · 25/11/2023 19:05

The trickiest postage option is the Post Office, as it’s the only one where the buyer doesn’t pay the postage in advance.
Check that none of the options would work… all our corner shops seem to do a different courier service each.

BG2015 · 25/11/2023 20:14

Lots of shops have printers where you scan a QR code and it prints automatically.

In Post lockers are great too. I've never sent anything via the Post Office. It tends to be Yodel, Evri or In Post.

Definitely iron things and make sure photos aren't blurred.

Vinted has a great tutorial, go round and help her?

HappyMe6 · 25/11/2023 20:55

Thanks everyone

I'm always far more likely to buy something if I can see if being worn, rather than a photo of it lying on a table/bed/on a hanger

As a seller you take photos of the item, and post it on vinted with information, you can also control which carriers you are willing to use on your account settings. Vinted prompt you with what information to supply about your item like brand, fabric etc
Once uploaded into their site, potential buyers can browse, pop it in their favourites (which means they have saved it onto their account) or buy it. The buyer pays for the postage by selecting which carrier from evri, yodel, in post locker or post office. The post office is tricker as it costs more, and the seller pays for the postage, but the money it refunded with the payment. The other three carriers are easier. My local Yodel and evri print labels for me, and inpost you can drop the parcel off and the courier sorts the label.
Once the buyer receives their parcel they have 48 hours to report an issue, else you get paid. However there is an option to confirm everything is ok and you get paid instantly. Buyers also have the option to leave feedback and vise versa.
It is quite a simple way to sell clothes, but it does feel daunting at first. I hope this helps explain the process for you both.
