I'll take any advice, no matter how random!
Taken paracetamol, dihydrocodeine, mefanamic acid regularly
On day 5 and still at the point of vocal pain in my stomach going down my thighs and wanting to rip my uterus out

I know I have severe endometriosis and on a wait list but it's a year. Pain lasts all 7 days of my period and I've at least 11 more to get through before I'm even seen let alone operated on

So yeah.. any ideas?!

And no hormonal contraception as I don't cope well with it
I get what you mean - exercise is great and helps me when it's mild but this is kind of curled up in silence pain

That's a shame, I'm sorry to hear you can't have diclofenac - if you took it orally, you might not get the same effects in suppository form?

It becomes a little bit "try everything and work out what's the best compromise" as everything will have some side effects but they differ from person to person and what you can put up with also is individual.

Similarly for hormonal contraception - have you tried a few types? I've had two pills that were bad, one that was fine, and now mirena.

Otherwise - unfortunately despite it being the only thing I want...sugar makes my pain worse. Gentle movement helps but like you I just can't on some days.

Hot water bottle is honestly the best thing apart from the other suggestions I've already made. Also curling up ideally with a favourite book or film. Hard when it's a work day!

Yep I've been on everything from cerazette to minulet, mini pill and combined
Currently have a copper coil which doesn't make them worse but doesn't improve them!

They're v reluctant with diclofenac in any form. I had one tablet and ended up in an ambulance on gas and air Blush

Ah - I can understand the reluctance then!

Copper coil is interesting as it's generally not recommended for endo but if you're saying it's not making things worse that's positive at least.

I've run out of suggestions apart from seeing if there's an endo nurse at the department you're waiting to be seen for, I'm really sorry. Someone else suggested a tens machine, which might be worth trying. Some people love them.

I'm sorry you're in so much pain, and I hope it starts to ease soon.

I've found a number for the endo nurse who has said she will flag up I can attend any cancellations

My friend used to have extreme menstrual pain. After cutting out dairy, chocolate and caffeine around the time (and during) her period it vastly improved.
