Ours is white. I didn't want it to feel hemmed in by going darker.

Bright sunny yellow. Looks glorious any morning of the year as the early morning sun filters in through the patterned glass. Makes me cheerful.

(OK not today, it's gloomy)

Another vote for Dulux Egyptian Cotton. I have it in my kitchen/diner and liked it so much that I used it in my hall too. Its a lovely light neutral without being too white.

Ours is about to be crown easy clean mellow sage.

Greatfull · 23/11/2023 11:26

White. But every wall in my house is white. I'm a fan of greige.

stayathomer · 23/11/2023 11:28

Another cream one, I love it especially when the sun shines in and was thinking of going even more yellowish but dh wants to go grey/ blue/ green (ugh!)

Allthegoodnamesarechosen · 23/11/2023 11:29

False masonry ( so stone ) round the many doors, with terracotta ‘plaster’ in between.

We like it.

IHeartGeneHunt · 23/11/2023 11:30

Yellow and orange. It's beautiful.

TotalOverhaul · 23/11/2023 11:33

It's a sort of rich tea biscuit/milky coffee neutral. I like it. But it needs stroong colourful artwork on the walls to stop it from looking bland.

SedentaryCat · 23/11/2023 11:33

Rock Salt by Dulux. Love the colour but it shows a lot of marks (thanks DCs).

HolySkirts · 23/11/2023 11:34

Our house has several halls (which sounds very grand, but isn't (just an old house with a labyrinthine downstairs layout). The hall inside the front door is F and B Dropcloth. The back hall is north-facing, and we decided to embrace the dark. It's Colourtrend Keystone. Another hall, lit only by a skylight, is Colourtrend Brushed Gold (second picture).

Mine's about to be a shade of soft peach that I had mixed for living room then changed my mind. Can't let good paint go to waste.

doubleshift · 23/11/2023 14:16

RAL 9002 grey white.
Similar to F&B shaded white.

Treacletoots · 23/11/2023 14:22

We've just repainted ours coral pink from its previous grey blue colour and we love it.

Not quite the vibe you're looking for though OP. How about F&B Mizzle. A nice greeny, grey, blue pale shade that changes with the light?

cunningartificer · 23/11/2023 19:56

Crown Gentle yellow and sunshine yellow for woodwork. Looked very cheery and brightened a dark hall. People often commented on how nice it was!

Chasingsquirrels · 23/11/2023 20:00

Sage green.

We painted it when I was pregnant with ds1 and he's 21 now.
I repainted the hall, landing, and as far up the stairway as I could reach with the left over paint about 11 years ago.

It desperately needs redoing, but I want a colour change (have since had a sage green kitchen which I love, and painted the conservatory a minty green - so want something different) but have NO IDEA what colour to go with.

ladygindiva · 23/11/2023 23:35

Mines white but might be going a light terracotta/ plaster colour any day.

BebbanburgIsMine · 23/11/2023 23:59

Mine is Dulux Natural Slate.

A kind of mid grey with a blueish tinge to it.

DinosApple · 24/11/2023 06:36

Egyptian cotton, basically griege. In the hardest wearing paint we can afford!

But it's a large area and needs to remain neutral as I think we'll move in a few years and we only want to do it once!

ThreeRingCircus · 24/11/2023 07:16

Most rooms in our house are painted bold colours but our hallway, stairs and landing is painted in Dulux Natural Hessian. I love it, it brightens up the space and is a pale, beige colour with pinky undertones so it's neutral but still warm. Image below (sadly not my house but you can see the colour.)

FloofCloud · 24/11/2023 07:16

My hallway is also white. It's difficult to paint because it's a typical hallway at the front and, but towards the back of my converted bungalow it opens up into a vaulted
Ceiling over the stairs/back end of the hallway. It could be great I'm sure but no idea how to make it look great ... I'm really shocking at artistic flairiness ☹️

Londontown12 · 09/01/2024 12:41

pink radiant rose with a forest green carpet !! I love it x

ladygindiva · 09/01/2024 21:11

DramaAlpaca · 22/11/2023 21:05

Mine's pure brilliant white. Not very exciting but it's quite a dark hallway.

Same. I tried bright yellow for a change but it looked bloody awful so I painted it white again 🤣

Mumblechum0 · 09/01/2024 22:40

Eau de nil, hand painted in chinoiserie style. Cherry blossom all around the walls and up the stairs.

I like it.

some probably hate it….
