It's on the iplayer it's so depressing! Is the book this depressing? It's full of like little meaningful quotes.

Hated it, and it's a bit sinister how the animals persuade him not to go back to civilization at the end but I stead to stay in a snow covered field with no coat on, where presumably he freezes to death (assuming he's not already undead)

I can't remember the inns and outs now, but the animals are guides taking him away to the afterworld or something.

They all stand for different things and they look back at the village (where everyone's still alive) and he can't go back and they have to gently ... not let him go back. The horse carries him away.

Much better synopsises (synopsi ?) were given on here last year. But that was the gist of it.
