Period pants when travelling

Hi,
I'm going on a 9 day trip during which unfortunately I will have my period. I will be moving between multiple hotels during this time and won't have access to laundry facilities so was planning do my washing when I get home from the trip.

So what to do about my period pants?
a) rinse out the blood and put the wet sodden pants in a nappy sack and tie up
b) put the bloody pants which are otherwise dry in a nappy sack

So either way I would be dealing with them when I return. Which would be least smelly and disgusting?

Thanks

Since you've said that the main issue with the cup was that it still leaked a bit, I'd probably just use the cup but with the period pants as a backup. That way, whether you choose to rinse or store them dry, they'll only have a bit of leakage on and not all of the period blood.

How long are you going to be spending in each hotel? Could you not give them a quick hand wash in the bathroom sink and then hang them up somewhere to dry?

That’s the only way I’d consider doing it, to be honest. I haven’t ever used period pants but I do have washable sanitary towels and wouldn’t want to be transporting a bag of those about unless they were fairly clean and dry.

It's such a pain in the arse. Counting down til the menopause!

Let me stop you there. Peri menopause is like fresh hell after 30yrs of bleeding. Do not wish for the menopause!

On pads: I find Bodyform nightpads are pretty reliable (also heavy flow here) and not too sweaty (and they don't have the vile smell the Always ones do these days). Personally I use period pads as a backup but wouldn't bother when travelling.
