I've found a bee

So I've found a pretty chunky bee on the patio earlier soaking wet. I've brought him/her in and gave bees revival kit I have on my key ring. I've placed said bee in a butterfly thing we had when we hatched them. Said bee still can't fly and its wings keep buzzing but no lift.
Google says not to realise until the morning where I found it.
Anyone have any knowledge? If bee can't fly can I keep it inside until spring?

Bee revival key ring is a great idea!

That’s likely a female bee- the males are evicted and left to die for winter.

She won’t survive without her hive so best to see how she is in the morning and let her go to see if she goes back to her hive.

That’s a bumble bee and she has likely been hibernating somewhere and been disturbed - she’ll hibernate over winter in places like a wood pile and then in spring, she’ll emerge, make a nest underground and start raising new bumble bees.

bumbles are much more endangered than honey bees and really struggling due to changes in gardening practices and environments. Feeding her is brilliant, when she’s eaten enough and is dry, you could pop her onto a pile of dry wood on a dry day no let her try to find somewhere to hibernate

She won’t survive the winter if you keep her indoors, she’ll be too warm to hibernate and die.
So do pop her somewhere outside suitable on a dry morning to give her the best chances

Thank you all. It does make sense she was disturbed. We had tree surgeons in on Friday so may have been disturbed then. She has more sugar water from the bee revival kit. She's walking around in the enclosure but still can't fly. Shall pop her somewhere tomorrow as long as dry

I've also popped her in the enclosure in the porch now she's fully dried off so she's not to warm in the house. (Porch is a lot cooler) thank you for all your advice.

Thank you me too. Shall keep updating! She seems very happy. Her wings are buzzing like crazy every now and then and even with plenty of room to fly she hasn't. Even when sat on the surface in the kitchen.

That's fantastic!! The kits are brilliant. I didn't think I'd actually need to use it but I have so many times & it's such a lovely sight to see the bees fly away after you've helped them!
