Would a plumber rectify this?

I needed to get a plumber in recent times. He was hard to get too. As part of the job I asked for an isolation valve to be installed under the sink. The plumber came to me earlier this week.

The last few days were busy and stressful. Today I found a wet box under the sink which would indicate a leak somewhere. I found a drip around the isolation valve.

Should I be contacting the plumber again or find someone new? Would he rectify the leak? Should I phone him or message him?

My one guarantees his work for a year, I think. So yes you should get him back and I'd be expecting him to leave it fixed, for free.

I personally message so I can see if it's been read and of course so it's written down as proof if necessary.

(It can be tempting to try someone new ... But if you don't know them ....)
(If they try and wriggle out of it or say it's down to something else and thus more work/money required, then employ the 'I'll get a second quote').

Is the leak coming from where the 15mm pipe is connected to the valve? If so might be just a case of tightening the connection a touch with an adjustable spanner.

You can't really see it here but I think it's coming from here.

I wasn't able to fully investiage this because my mother was in the background freaking out. I think she has dementia.

Yeah that's where we had water tear dropping when we had a new valve fitted recently. Luckily just a slight tighten of the nut cured it. Give that a go.

OP were you able to fix the leak?
