How many soft toys do your children have?

DD is 3 in Feb and already has 16 soft toys, we have bought her 5 of those.. all the others are gifts since she was born.

I want to sell/give some to charity as I think she's got far far too many. What is the norm?

How many do your children have out of interest?

She also has one baby doll and one barbie

A LOT more than 16. So many we could probably open our own shop. They do adore them and they'll be passed on one day, just not yet. They are 6 and 8.

I've culled some but I think we need to get rid of more, the problem is other people buying them for her! Why do people do it, who needs more teddy's?

Argh we have so many. I do try to cull them sometimes but I’m as bad as the kids - I remember when they got them/who gave them and feel too sentimental about it.

Id say we have about 50 between 2 kids.

Oh, tonnes! At least two laundry baskets worth each. I've limited DDs (aged 7 and 5) to a maximum of ten cuddly toys each in their beds at any one time otherwise they would sleep on a pile of soft toys (and I got fed up of having to wash so many when DD2 used to wet the bed 🤣).

I don't really mind, they like them and like choosing which ones to cuddle at bedtime. Once a year we have a cull and donate some to the teddy tombola at the school summer fair and then DDs beg and win more cuddly toys back again 😉.
