Argh, seriously.

People who leave spreadsheets open when they've finished in them.

🤬🤬🤬🤬

That is all.

We moved ours to SharePoint. Doesn’t get messed up either. And it shows you who did the last fuck up changes.

Haha annoying but not something I could get irrationally angry about 😂

I have been advocating for sharepoint, but I work with a bunch of dinosaurs who are terrified of new things, and my suggestion of importing the spreadsheet to sharepoint/teams/one drive for them to view is apparently terrifying for them.

Us younguns and our newfangled sharepoint nonsense. No, they want a proper olden days Excel doc.

Only 2 of us actually edit the spreadsheet. The other team members only need to view it. But they like to view it for 2 minutes then leave it open for 6 hours.

It’s perfectly rational if it’s stopping you from doing your job.

I’m very old and I love Sharepoint. It’s awesome for collaboration in Word as well. As long as nobody totally deletes the file all the versions are there in the history of needed.

Just do it, OP.

I didn't know people were my colleagues on here! Yes we have "the spreadsheet" as well.

OP, you can easily change the settings in the spreadsheet to bring up a message "The owner would like you to open this as read only... (with yes/no/cancel options)" so most people can then just view and not edit.
