How do I stop myself being so anxious about scammers?

I've had another text and email attempt at phishing today which has led to me ringing my bank to check my accounts and confirm it's not them (I'm sure they're sick of me!). But even with their reassurance I'm sat here with my stomach in knots and my anxiety spiralling about it all. I am having therapy for other anxiety related issues but I don't know what to do about this.

If it was as simple as telling you to stop worrying about it, then you wouldn’t be having therapy, so I think you should find some breathing exercises to do now, and tell your therapist the next time you see them and ask them for some techniques to calm yourself down the next time it happens.

You’re doing really well. You’ll get through this. You’ve dealt with it, you’ve confirmed that your account is safe. You didn’t get scammed. You’re safe. Your money is safe.

Thank you for being so kind. I will absolutely talk to my therapist about this, it's horrible

I know, I truly do. But you’ve done the hardest bit, which is getting yourself into therapy in the first place. And if it was easy to relax about these things, then nobody would be suffering with it! 🙂

Just concentrate on keeping yourself calm until your next appointment. That’s all you need to do. 💐

Treat any unsolicited email about financial matters as a scam.

There are thousands out there. The guys who run them fire them off by the tens of thousand in the hope one or two will be acted on and they'll get the cash.

Just keep sending any such emails to your "junk" folder - after having hit the "report" button.

It might not stop you worrying BUT they can't get into your accounts UNLESS you do something to allow it. Just bin them and never respond to them, or click on any links or open any attachments.
