Well paid flexible and challenging new career with shortish training period?!

I'm probably after the holy grail here but as title, anyone have knowledge of/ideas for a career I could start studying with semi decent pay (25-40k) that doesn't take years to qualify?! I have thought about something to do with book keeping/lower level accounts as I enjoy doing my own (currently PT self employed) but not decided.

I currently work in two jobs, a combination of part time hospitality and my own business making skin care, which I am getting bored of and doesn't earn enough...

I am interested in lots of subjects and like a challenge! For more background, I have no degree but have done lots of courses and have a varied employment record; would prefer something that has a capacity to WFH eventually.

Suggestions most welcome!

Thanks muddler, I didn't know that board even existed! However just had a peek and there are an awful lot of posts with few responses... Hopefully posting in Chat will get more action! I'll keep reading over there though for inspiration :)

Although I missed your last sentence about WFH 🤦‍♀️

It would also take you years as you don’t have a degree. Sorry. It’s early… 😀

Coding, though I’m not sure how AI proof it is. DD’s ex boyfriend taught himself to code online. No qualifications. Walked into a 40k a year job at 21yo.

If you are interested in coding, there's lots of companies giving free training to females. If you google it they should come up

If you are in London you can get £40k + as an executive Assitant in financial services. You don’t need any specific qualifications but good org skills etc.
With 3-5 years experience you could be on £60k +

HR doesn't take too long to train and you can find an entry level HR job for 25-30k. It's quite competitive though to get into

Speech and language therapist has a shortened course of a couple of years I think. Not sure if you need an existing degree to get onto it. No home working though.

See you are interested in accounts. Are there apprenticeships? About 30years ago one of my friends did an apprenticeship in accounting after his a-levels. Might be worth looking into..

In fact, apprenticeships in general may be worth looking into.
I know a woman who got a basic electrician qualification and then did an apprenticeship. She found it hard to get an electrician to take her on though because she’s female ( they actually told her this to her face!)
