I’ve had 23 interviews this year. Out of that I couldn’t make it on the day to 16. The ones I went to I totally messed up as couldn’t speak or could speak and basically told them why I can’t do so many things so I wasn’t suitable for the role.

i have no qualifications
I have Autism, adhd (diagnosed when i was a child) ocd, agoraphobia, fibromyalgia, migraines where I can’t see at all for hours .

Yesteday I had an interview for a cleaning Agency but they said no as I was saying I can’t clean any houses with pets and I can’t clean if it’s too dirty due to sensory needs and I can’t move furniture

Or do I just give up and try for PIP and lcwra I’m so exhausted

edited to add I have communication difficulties as have selective mutism

What about office cleaning? No pets and probably only chairs to move around rather than heavy furniture

Yes that would be ok I think plus I assume early or late when not everyone is even there

Not necessarily, we have cleaners throughout the day for example toilets, kitchens etc are done every hour so our cleaners do work when busy.

If you claim Universal Credit for 6 months without getting a job, and you have limitations of some kind, you can be referred to something I think they call the Work and Health pathway. Citizens Advice might be able to advise if there are other ways to get on it. I only just heard of it recently.

You get a coach and access to help and training and after you do their programme they match you up with a disability confident employer.

The government contract it out to a company called Seetec who outsource it to a company called Maximus.

It sounds like you would definitely qualify for their help.

The job centre can also put you in touch with provision aimed at people who are neuro diverse.

Slim it down, be positive.

What can you do?

( rather than can’t)

Could you work as a gardener? Could you manage a factory job packing toys? Could you work outside?

Research opportunities, especially locally and make a list.

I can be a.…

Then plan towards achieving this.

How are you supporting yourself at the moment OP? You mention about the possibility of applying for benefits - so if you are not already getting them, how are you surviving?

Good luck with it all. The first step in getting help is often asking for it, which you are doing here.
