athlete's foot cure

After a week of thinking a mosquito had bitten my little toe, I realised last night (after the nearby pharmacy had closed) that I have an itchy little patch of athlete's foot between my 4th and 5th toes. What is the best over the counter treatment, please?

As it's the first time I've had it and it appears small and fairly mild I am hoping it's a one-off and therefore would rather not spend a fortune.

Just talc should work in no time. Make sure it's nice and dry and talc it up.

Apple cider vinegar helps.
Get something from the pharmacy to fully clear it up, as it can linger.

Breathable shoes, and non synthetic socks like cotton or bamboo. Wash your feet morning and night and make sure they're completely clean and DRY!! And do get a cream from the pharmacy because it is a fungal infection. Just ask for athletes foot cream and they'll give you something.

Lamisil Once. It's excellent stuff.

Daktarin powder.

Lamasil once.

Lamisil cream works really fast. Wash all your socks at 60*. Treat your shoes with athletes foot spray or powder. Rotate your shoes to allow them to dry out in between wears.
I got horrendous athletes foot once from the gym showers, but did the above and have never had it again. Whereas my husband has it almost constantly but is lax about treating/preventing.
