Work packed lunches ideas

Looking for ideas for packed lunches for work, well volunteer work. I'll be eating in the car so No fridge, kettle or microwave but I do have a food flask to keep things hot or cold. Worry about hygiene keeping things warm for a few hours though?

So far I'm thinking those microwave rice or grains pouches could I microwave one in the morning then put in food flask. Would rice be safe for 5-6 hours warm though?

Tuna pasta salad?

Any other ideas welcome would like to avoid standard sandwiches and crisps.

Thanks

Taking rice is fine. Three or four hours is not enough time for anything bad to happen and the thermos should keep it hot enough to deter the growth of anything anyway. Just make sure you put it in the thermos when it’s absolutely piping hot.

A bento box style lunch box with bits and bobs is good and gives loads of different options.

Soup and a roll.

Pasta salad (all different types).

Leftovers kept warm or eaten cold.

Pizza

Spanish omelette

Crackers and meats/cheese

Left overs from the previous nights dinner. Reduces waste too.

I batch cook chicken stew and freeze single portions to microwave at work. But you could keep in fridge and microwave before you go out.

Food flasks - the Stanley ones - were great for my DD's
Their favourite was roast dinner - cut up meat, roasted potatoes and veg with gravy. They even liked Yorkshire pudding in there!
Any wet type food worked well and if I hadn't much in, pesto pasta with grated cheese or mashed potatoes with beans and grated cheese

Heat up the flask with boiling water before filling it with food - they even complained that it was too hot at times (5 hours after preparation)

DD had a food flask for school sometimes, as long as you give it 5 mins full of boiling water before filling with very hot food, it will keep your food lovely and hot till lunch.

There's the obvious - soup, pasta, casserole, curry etc

But what she really likes is fish fingers, chicken nuggets or sausages, then bread/wrap/hotdog bun on the side with cheese slices or whatever you like so she can make a hot sandwich. I've done sausage and fried onions in the food flask before and made hot dogs at work. Was delicious.
