I need to get something dry quickly

I need to get my hair turban dry quickly.

I wash my hair twice a week. I washed earlier in the week and I had to leave home wearing my hair turban. Then as the morning progressed, and I took the towel of my head, the towel got dirty.

I meant to wash it since then but I never got a chance and I was so busy and stressed and sick and I forgot to wash my hair turban towel.

I wanted to wash it this morning but the machine was taken and it's only now it's in the wash.

Today is my other hair wash day. I doo need to wash it today. But my hair turban is in the wash now.

How can I get it dry quickly? It's raining outside. I was thinking about turning on the iron and using the heat from the iron to lift the steam.

Or will just use an ordinary towel for today or maybe a t-shirt instead of a hair turban.

I meant to get a spare hair turban but that never happened either.

Blast it with a hairdryer?

drspouse · 05/11/2023 13:26

Put it on the radiator and keep turning it over?

icelollycraving · 05/11/2023 13:26

Is there a reason you can’t just use a towel?

Just use a normal towel today and use the hair turban when it's dry - surely this is a complete non-problem!

Mrsjayy · 05/11/2023 13:29

Why can't you use a towel you can make a turban or just have a hair day off and wash it when your turban is dry.

Theoldwoman · 05/11/2023 13:31

This is a joke. Right?

Hermittrismegistus · 05/11/2023 13:33

Strange.

edwinbear · 05/11/2023 13:34

Do you not own a hairdryer?

tealandteal · 05/11/2023 13:36

Just use a tshirt for today.

greenacrylicpaint · 05/11/2023 13:36

the turban will do it's job even if it's still damp.

extra spin & put it on a heater until you need it.

AriannasGuitarCase · 05/11/2023 13:37

I'm guessing the OP has really curly hair, which needs treated a certain way. You could try drying the turban with a hairdryer if you have one, or in front of an open hot oven if you don't mind using the electricity/gas

FusionChefGeoff · 05/11/2023 13:38

You can use a cotton T shirt or long sleeved top instead

NannyGythaOgg · 05/11/2023 13:38

Use a cotton t shirt, preferable with long sleeves as you can use the sleeves to tie it on.

You could iron your turban dry but it will take a while or blast it with a hair dryer. Roll it in a towel first and stand on it to get as much of the water out as possible to make the other methods quicker.

Long term, you can buy a few more turbans cheaply, they may or may not be as good as the one you are currently using but will make good spares and prevent this happening again.

TheresaCrowd · 05/11/2023 13:38

What's the name of the turban that annoying troll keeps banging on about?

Perhaps buy one of them?

LardoBurrows · 05/11/2023 13:43

Ok, I'll bite and assume you are very young. Just use a towel to dry and wrap around your hair. People have been using towels to dry their hair for years and years and managed perfectly well before the relatively recent arrival of hair turbans. My hair is very thick and I managed for years with a towel.

Also you could have washed the hair turban by hand instead of waiting to do a full load in the washing machine.
