i have a really old air fryer and haven’t used it for ages but I really like the sound of the veggies as I am low carbing so eating a lot of veg!

I love using mine in the summer in lieu of the oven because it doesn't heat up the kitchen. I also use it to make foods that would normally be fried, it's so much healthier. It was such a lifesaver for me when I was recovering from an emergency c-section last year- I made sure my 13yo daughter learned how to use it so could make her own meals. Her favorite meal is a homemade, healthier version of a Big Mac, which also saves me money. It's been our most-used appliance for a few years now.

Assuming you can spare the worktop space I'd definitely say get one asap. I don't ever cook beige food. I use it for chicken thighs, pork chops, all sorts of fish, Mediterranean veg, baked potatoes that have started in the microwave - anything really. I've made muffins in it very successfully and scones. It's a mini oven.

I have 2, one with shelves (which was about £80) and a cheap basket one from ASDA. Wouldn't be without them. The ASDA one has a massive basket. Any sort of chips taste fantastic when cooked in it and it has a huge capacity.

@ShutTheDoorBabe how long do you do soft boiled egg for?

7-8 mins at 120°C for a medium egg.

Also amazing for any bread that is too wide or soft to fit into toaster. Soreen I'm looking at you yum yum.

Easy enough to do little ciabatta pizzas in there too.

I also do tofu in mine. Just cube, toss in seasoned oil and cook til nice and crispy

I did stuffing balls in mine last night. Delicious! I never bother with them as they take too long in the oven and it seems like a faff to put the oven on for a small thing. So tasty and took about 10 minutes.

So I did a roast - chicken in the slow cooker, potatoes, stuffing and yorkshires in air fryer and veg on the hob. So easy.

I reheated some leftover samosas, pakorah (sp?), onion bhaji and mushroom bhaji in ours yesterday and they were delicious.

I think it depends on what and how you cook as we had one for a week and sent it back.

In that week we made home made chips 3 times (way more often than usual) and they were sort of rubbery.

Bacon was ok but limited space rather than doing it on a tray in the oven.

DH tried a few other things that I can't remember but wasn't impressed, he was very sad, he'd wanted one for ages!

Did you get a refund even though it was working and you'd used it for a week?

I got a ninja airfryer from one of my local charity shops, for the grand price of a tenner. There was also one there for £15. I couldn't believe it. I thought they were the thing to have.
I however am not complaining and apart from the timings being total fabrications, it's awesome.
