What can I do to get proof of income

I get paid in cash, but I need to reflect my salary in the Bank Statement. Because I need to apply for a mortgage. What can I do to get proof of income?

I was self employed as a childminder and paid in cash, cheques and companies dealing with childcare payments ie Edenred.
I was fortunate that my income wasn’t needed to be taken into consideration for our mortgage but I had colleagues who had a nightmare as they were putting so much through their books as expenditures that they appeared to be working for peanuts.
I honestly wouldn’t want to be in the op’s position by not really having proper documentation.

No chance of a mortgage if you can't prove source of payments plus you'd need a business account to show records for your accountant depending on earnings
