Big or small, serious or frivolous, what goal(s) do you have? Are you pursuing them yet?

I'd like to finally work out what haircut suits me best.

I very seriously want to get over my eating disorders (mainly guilt around eating food so I binge and sometimes purge).

I'd like to stop drinking- this is associated with my guilt over eating so i often drink instead of eating food.

Grow vegetables without killing them - too afraid to start
Grow house plants without killing them - same as above
Paint my new house in colours I like - pursuing this
Grow old with grace and as part of that improve my fitness, flexibility and strength - ongoing

I want to start up my own business, but I have no money and am terrified of all the risk involved.

To be able to do yoga properly. The older ladies who all sit at the front of the class are amazing.

Tonight it's to get the small person's bastarding feed pump to run without beeping an error message at me every two minutes. There is no fault, it just doesn't like running at such a low volume, looks like I need yet another new feed pump.

To lose the rest of my baby weight and fit back into my old clothes and my wedding ring.

Once that's done to work on my overall health and fitness and make sure it's a daily and sustainable habit.

I've been working on prioritising sleep and it is working. I'm less likely to drop off when sitting down. It still happens but it's not as bad

To get through my cancer treatment with a good outcome. I had to stop chemo after the first cycle as it made me dangerously ill. I can't have the second best option as I only had one cycle of chemo, so that leaves the third best option, if I can tolerate it. I've had the surgery and I've just started radiotherapy. I am determined to get through this.

Hope the chemo is OK this time DilemmaDelilah I had weekly paclitaxel and of all the poisons it was about the best if that's an option.

New goal from another thread...to have a wrapping room(!)

Actually, having a home full stop would be nice

Save money for everything my daughter needs for culinary school next Autumn.

Get my tiny home finished so I can just concentrate on daily life.

Aramist · 02/11/2023 22:51

To achieve a private pilot's license.

spookehtooth · 02/11/2023 22:51

My draft 2024 goals:
• Learn to paddle canoe solo & do a roll in kayak
• Regular gym sessions as habit
• Aim for 20 mins 5k. Currently at 22:45
• Bread and vegan cheese - plan to attend at least 2 workshops for breed and try more vegan cheese recipes

On top of that keep on trying to improve my veg growing and improve flexibility.

@Hellers I tied myself in knots thinking about starting to grow stuff. Seeds and a bag of compost are cheap, and people are always giving away old plastic pots online and outside their house. Just go for it, and keep going when things don't work & read a bit for clues why. Sometimes it's not you, just duff seeds
