Ideas for a tiny Xmas gift for shop asst?

I want to buy a small Xmas gift for an asst at a local shop who's always really friendly and helpful. I don't want it to look OTT and embarrass her, so it's just something as a small 'thanks' for always being pleasant and helpful.

Normally, I'd buy the gift where she works (chocs or maybe Xmas biscuits.)
But that seems a bit silly as she could buy it herself (with staff discount!)

I thought about handwash or handcream, but I have no idea what she uses or likes, and that seems a bit personal, so I'm coming back to the idea of chocs maybe from Hotel Chocolat or a similar / upmarket brand.

My budget is around £10 because I'm sure she'll not expect anything.

She's about 45-50-ish.

I work in a store and would be over the moon with a £10.00 Costa coffee gift card.
How.thoughtful of you, retail staff are always very over looked.

Might be worth checking with her employers, explaining why you want to do it. My employers don't allow us to accept gifts, but if a customer has said something positive about us, they always note it and tell us.

Aww yes a card with a gift card in it would be best and the most discrete. I'd love a costa gift card too, or one for M&S.

My favourite lovely but inexpensive gift is always some seasonal bulbs in a nice terracotta pot.

How would they know?
Would she have to declare it in some way if I simply handed it over to her in a gift bag?
