Portable Induction Hobs - any recommendations

I currently have no kitchen, and not likely to have one until the new year. I am managing with an airfryer, microwave, slow cooker and a two ring portable electric hob.

The hob is beyond rubbish, so I've been looking at portable induction hobs, to see me through until we actually have a kitchen.

Apart from wanting two rings, I have no idea what to look for. So - has anyone got one that they'd recommend, or any ideas of what features to look for?

I looked at reviews for one that said if you had both rings going, and moved a pan on one of the rings, the whole thing shut off, and you had to switch it off and start again (three of four people said the same thing). Obviously that's one to avoid, but any others?

I have a single ring, plug in from IKEA. I did have an inset induction and loved it but only ever used (well 99%) one ring as I live alone and it took up a lot of space.
IKEA also do 2 ring induction which I haven't tried. If I thought I needed the extra ring I would get an extra single one. Only ever need to have whatever you need out.

I do think top brands may be better overall but at less than £50 each, why not just get 2 singles

@NannyGythaOgg - just wanted to say thank you. I went to Swedish Hell today and got their two zone portable induction hob (£90) and it is bloody amazing, compared to the awful two ring electric hob I was previously using.

Can't believe the difference in performance. So now, even though my kitchen is actually my dining table, I am nearer to cooking heaven 😅

That’s so good to know! I’m considering avoiding built in hobs completely in favour or plug ins.
