How did you make your baby bottles?

I'm wondering if the Tommee Tippee prep machine is worth forking out for. Is it safe to make bottles up and then store them in the fridge and heat as needed instead?

It does seem like most parents these days have the TT machine or the Baby Brezza but I'm trying to save as much money as possible

The premixed are expensive but so worth it if you can afford

How are they better than a kettle?

I mixed 6 bottles and cooled under running water and straight in the main part of the fridge not the door.

I took a powder dispenser when out and about.

I did mine in a totally wrong way. I’d sterilise 8 bottles, fill all with boiled water, then put top on and leave on the side until needed. When needed I just put the formula in and gave it a good shake. Ds had his room temp, dd preferred hers warm so flashed it in the microwave for a few seconds. This also worked really when out and about. I just took the boiled water with me and put the powder in (pre-measured) when needed. know this is absolutely not the recommended way, but this was 11 years ago and a lot of friends did the same. The midwife at the time also said it was fine. Neither dc was ever ill.
