I have a million quite a few, & think I should maybe finish some before starting anything else 🙈

I have (in no particular order)

Crochet alien (will be finished tonight)
Crochet green balloon dog (for Eras tour next year)
Crochet christmas village
Crochet big blanket for me
Cross stitch Christmas card for my dad
Beaded tassles for Midnights lavender jacket (for Eras tour)
Painted mini Adele (for dd2's birthday cake in December)

I also have a list I'm working through for work but not urgently needed so just as I get to them, 3 pairs of curtains to alter, a skirt to take in & one to replace the zip in, possibly peg doll Taylor Swifts for dd1's birthday in January.

I'll save you the details of my food related want to make list, and Christmas want to makes 🤣

Sooo...do you all flit from project to project? Or are you sensible and finish one thing at a time? 🤔

(I need to make some equipment like needle holders but haven’t started those yet).

An after Christmas swag for the chimney breast ( the autumn one is finished and hung up ( though I might add a bit of ribbon on one side if I can be bothered to get the ( heavy ) steps out). I’ve got some of the ‘evergreen’ leaves but I need to do the final drawing.

a revised Christmas garland / swag for the hall, last years is okay but it took up two sockets and I have found a longer light string which would be tidier. I also want to reuse the light strings from that old swag , probably upstairs as two separate swags. I’m thinking of making them like carvings rather than greenery.

The new cushion cover for my bed, I seem to have a mental block about it and it’s so simple ,ditto pj case…..

I took the cuffs off a beautiful silk shirt from eBay which seems to have been made for a gorilla. I could just shorten the sleeves with an elastic cuff but it would look much better with the cuffs reattached.

Two fence panel paintings, they get mounted on the said fence to give a perspective illusion. Also in the garden, a new number sign if I
can work out how to fix it in the ground.

Now some friends have admired my free form crochet blanket so I offered to make a cushion for them ( but the wool selection is so tempting, it could grow but MUST be done by mid December.)

The landing flowers.

Need to re spray the table mats…..

This is why I am lying in bed reading MN instead.

I do crochet and sew for enjoyment and if I'm hating a project I ditch it.
I wonder if you tried binning all the old projects that you will never get back to there would an immense feeling of liberation?
It's like making yourself finish a book that you don't like just because you've started it.

Oh, just remembered the quilt for my daughter, started when she was 5, she’s nearly 14 now!

Edited

I can beat that! When dd2 was late 30s, I unearthed a cardigan I’d started for her when she was about 7, in a pastel ‘rainbow’ yarn.
Unravelled it and made quite a bit into doll’s clothes and blanket, for that DD’s little niece or 3 or 4.

So glad it's not just me that does this!
I have a diamond painting and a jigsaw on the go. Some knitting and sewing. I need to do some sewing repair jobs. I want to paint and recover the seats on my dining table chairs. A little kit to make a bag. Also have a half built model to finish. Oh and I did get some drawing stuff last Christmas as I wanted to do some sketching! (not started yet 😳) And my needle felting, oh dear so many things are coming to mind now I've thought about it.

I feel a bit lost if I don't have a few projects to work on. I'm single and a bit of an introvert and don't want to spend my life just working, doing housework and watching TV. I really enjoy "creating". I just have to get better at finishing some of these things I realise now.

I have a baby cardigan part way through for my granddaughter, who is now 2.5 yo and far too big for it. Fingers crossed it will be a long time before I have another grandchild (I have teenagers, DGD was born just days after DS turned 17) so there isn't much point in finishing it. I love the yarn, it's Drops Baby Alpaca Silk which I hand dyed. They don't make that yarn anymore, so I might frog it and use it for something else.

2 Christmas cross stitches
Loads of crochet & knitting bits

tons of style craft & some of the 'wool' for Woolly Hugs squares (all bought myself).

crate full of even older cross stitch stuff

Chalk paint & wax plus furniture to transform

change in health, I don't have the energy or enthusiasm for it anymore and my eyesight has deteriorated a lot, so even with craft lighting & a neck lite I really can't do any knitting/crochet/cross stitch in the evenings. In the day I'm working or doing things that NEED doing, or so wiped out I struggle to stay awake let alone 'craft'.

if you enjoy it, do it while you can & donate anything that's weighing you down!

Redshoeblueshoe · 02/11/2023 17:27

Well I finished the gloves and cardigan, next it a freeform crochet scarf. I might have a go at that this evening

northernstars · 02/11/2023 18:33

Tons and tons but to be finished before the end of the year:
2 embroideries
About 10 embroideries to be framed
Embroidery Christmas cards
Non embroidered Christmas cards
Fingerless gloves
Set of wood coasters to be personalised for a friend
Small magnets as gifts
Art homework
Finish setting up my craft room! Two years in the making!

Nemareus · 02/11/2023 18:36

Lots of them really and lots at the planned ng stage. Realistically this is due to time, space and money. Eg project one might have a part that takes 4 hours so will do at the weekend; project 2 is messy and needs prep so again will need to clean and prepare. Project 3 I can get into here and there.

I have some knitting, art and sewing.
