Good Morning All! What's everyone up to today?

I'm just drinking my first cuppa of the day, in my kitchen spot. I'm watching the robin flit about the garden. No-one else is up yet, so it's lovely and quiet. Dd2 got up to watch someone's stream of Adele from Vegas so I don't expect to see her for quite a while!

There are a few pots to wash, a load of washing to be done, and dd2's school shirts to iron. Other than that, I plan to have a very moochy day as it's my first day back at work tomorrow.

Dd1 wants to bake cinmamon rolls so we'll start those soon-ish, and I really need to finish the crochet Beegu I've been making for display. She's still in pieces at the moment, and only has one ear 🙈

I'll make sure dd2's ready for back to school too, and has done any homework that was set.

Anything else I do will probably be craft related, once I have a look and decide which I should finish first out of the many projects on the go.

We're having roast chicken for tea, in giant yorkshires, with cauli cheese I think. & preparing a stew to go in the slow cooker for tomorrow evening 😋

Tonight will be self-care Sunday, an idea pinched from another MN-er! Full scrubby shower, shave the bits that need it, face mask, loads of moisturiser, & maybe file and paint my nails. Followed by reading the intro to Nigel Slater's Christmas Chronicles 😊

Watching cricket at the moment before a bath and hair wash

Mam is coming over at one and picking up Sunday lunch for us en route then we are heading to visit my brother in hospital who has had to have the most awful reconstructive surgery and skin grafts on his head after skin cancer

When we get back DH is going to cook a curry for tomorrow nights supper and I am going to start the Lego flowers set I have had for two years now - I’m unwell also with a bowel infection and obstruction so will give me something to do next week as likely to be still off work

I was at work in the bakery at 6.30am. I cooked 23 croissants and thought I had been a bit optamistic but they all went as did most of the pastries.
Now home listening to the fascinating Dame Lesley Regan on Desert Island Discs... Mum is cooking Pork and Onion Dumpling for lunch and I've made a strawberry cheesecake for pudding.

I’m meeting a friend for lunch in Glasgow and of course her train is delayed!

Good afternoon Lucysmam and others. Good luck for tomorrow. I have been awake since half six which is really half seven so a win for me. I've done an ironing and put it away and tidied up my bedroom. The rest of the house is fine. I'll do a quick hoover after lunch. I binged Ghosts and will have to wait for the Christmas Special now. The weather here is horrible, heavy heavy rain and windy, so I'm going nowhere. Sausage sandwich for lunch and steak pie for dinner. I might make a plum crumble because it's that kind of day. And I'll feed the Christmas cake with brandy. Enjoy your day

I’ve had a super lazy morning after staying up stupidly late watching Maid (one episode to go, saved it for tonight!) I’m having a coffee, listening to the cricket and the rain with the cat. DD is watching TV.

Wash load is on, going to do some work and have a good clean up!

I’ve been up early ferrying children to various events. Quick break now before next thing.

Scotland here too and it’s horrible. Day of housework and putting up some Halloween decorations for DSs friends who are coming by for a play tomorrow.

Dcats are fighting non stop. Think they are fed up not getting out. DH is mooching about not doing much after a busy week. He is making a lasagne for tea tonight though.

Once everyone is home latter just shower and calm night I hope!

I’m about to put a load of washing on and get started on lunch (nothing fancy - just pasta).
There’s ice cream-making in progress and I’ve made some choc brownies, which should see us through the week for sweet stuff.
DP is collecting DD from her Sunday club. We’ll have lunch when she’s back, even though she took a packed lunch 😄.
May get a visit this afternoon from some friends of DP’s who are passing through London. Wouldn’t blame them if they decide not to come over, though - the weather is absolutely filthy.

Nothing. Did some chores and washing earlier but since then I've been eating Christmas cake under a blanket and watching MAFS.

I'm in bed with covid. Second week 😠

So sleeping and watching James Bond movies inbetween.

It's been a lovely day not driving after a big schlep to the nursing home for Mum's birthday yesterday with a carful of stuff.

Had a slow start and a nice bath after the clock change lie in. Then out for an extremely wet walk by the reservoir, quite glad to get back for a bread and cheese lunch. Now slobbing out with an episode of Fake or Fortune and my cross-stitch.

Cleaning, chilling and later on ExH is taking me and the DC out for dinner.

Free food. Yay.

DS(15) & I got home from a week away last night so plenty to get done.

The third wash has just gone on. I've done a food shop and packed it all away. I've just helped him apply for a bank account, savings account and cash point card.

The sun has just come out and I've got to do the winter flower tubs for the front door - the plants are sitting waiting. Then I'll finish off my bedroom curtains and hang them.

I need to choose flooring for my office - carpet or tiling & rug - so I might browse a few sites. Then I've an exercise class this afternoon.

Chase ds to do his English homework. Cook supper and then relax. 😊

Very lazy day here for me, still lying around in dressing gown. Dh did lots of cleaning earlier thank goodness. I'm planning on going to the shops ,and not much else.

Washing pile underway here and just getting ready to walk the hounds, although it’s just starting raining again!
Food shopping arriving soon so I can get dinner in the slow cooker when that arrives. I’ve seen a nice yoghurt cake recipe I want to try from Manon who was on GBBO, you use the yoghurt pot to measure the ingredients 🤤

DH and DS1 have gone to watch football in London with BIL.

DS2 and I had a morning out on the bus to the next town along, wondered round the charity shops (he got some toy cars and I found a winter coat for DS1) then had tea/milk and a cake in a cafe and got the bus home. Now he's making a giant playdough thing and watching cbeebies and I'm having a rest on the sofa (we were up at 5.30 with the clocks going back)

I hope you've all had a nice day. I'm just settling down to finish off the second ear for my crochet Beegu & watch Outrageous Pumpkins on Food Network. Doesn't make up for not managing to get our own this year though 😢
