Good Morning Mumsnet! What's everyone up to today?

I'm just up after a looong lie in...typical in the few weeks before I go back to work on Monday I'd start sleeping in 🙄 I'm just drinking my cuppa & about to get some breakfast (Lidl cinnamon squares cereal to try them).

The washers on so I can hang the washing before we go out, and last night's pots are staring at me from the sink but can wait until later on.

We're off into town to pick up a few bits, followed by a trip to Starbucks, at dd1's request, to try something or other she wants off their Halloween menu. And then we're off for a wander round The Range. Don't need anything from there (unless they sell a bath pillow!) but can guarantee we'll end up down the Christmas aisle & come out with something sparkly!

Later on, I need to carry on crocheting something for work on Monday. Dd1 should carry on with her homework that's mostly done now, and I'll get dd2 to check she has nothing else she's forgotten about.

No idea what's for tea yet, I'll look before we head out.

Dropped DD off at rehearsals for her musical theatre show earlier (she is a crow in The Wizard of Oz, this somehow involves singing Spice Girls) then went up to my mums to look after her cat while she’s on holiday. Cat has a two course breakfast every morning and like to listen to classical FM, apparently.

Will be dropping DD and DH off at a soft play party shortly, then I’ll get to chill at home with the baby. Pick them both up, drop DH at work then chicken curry for tea and wrangling bedtimes on my own. Will probably catch up with MAFS UK when the kids are down and get an early night.

Good morning! Had one of the latest lie-ins since DC were born 11 years ago - 7.30am!! Due to football game being cancelled this morning. It was bliss.
Then DH went to tennis lesson, DC worked on homework while I had my latte and swept the house, takes forever.
DC soon off to a birthday party, i need to order some things for some renos we're doing (tiles etc). I just cant seem able to make a decision on them, have been majorly procrastinating, but i now have to decide.
Later we'll hopefully put out the Halloween decorations, watch Striclty and DC might get cheap pizza from the local takeaway for tea!

@Decafflatteplease part time but very close to full time TA hours. I'm starting back on reduced days & hours and see how it goes. I'm really looking forward to it, but nervous at the same time!

I love hearing what everyone is up to! Sofa day here trying to shift a snotty cold that doesn’t seem to be going anywhere fast 🤧

I've started the fruit soaking for the Xmas cakes and I'm shortly off to the emergency vet after failing to find any regular vet within 20 miles that had a free appointment. That's £200 for the appointment and then the cost of the consultation and medication on top.... Oh well.

I am basking in a proper nights sleep after finally being put on melatonin. I feel so much better already!

I have done a fairly long list of chores this morning and still plodding through them.

DH is asleep as he’s on nights. DS will be leaving for work shortly and DD is trying on everything she owns as she’s going out tonight with a large group and she really likes one of them (apparently there has been some mild flirtation by text this week).😊

I was planning to take DDog out but it’s lashing down. I’m not averse to a wet dog walk but it is a bit too torrential at the moment.

Everyone is out this evening so I am planning on a film and some snacks and looking forward to another good nights sleep!

We're just back from a week away (Kent coast, got pretty lucky with the weather considering) so today will be a lazy one. I'll tackle the washing and ironing at some point. I have two clothes airers full of school uniform waiting to be ironed!!!

Kids are happy to be reunited with their toys so living room is currently a bombsite of said toys, holiday washing and everything else I've unpacked!! It's amazing how much crap you take for a week away (5 of us).

Kids also missed their bikes so we'll go out for a ride at some point. DP has had to go and price a job so he can do that when he gets back.

Will go back to proper cooking tomorrow but tonight it's Pizza Express pizza, doughballs, salad and dips. Love it when P.E is on special offer.

I cleaned the kitchen and did two loads of laundry.
Then DD had football,.then we went to the library then swimming. I'm now waiting for her to get dressed. Then off for showers and lunch. Then quick meet up with grandmother, then packing ahead of holiday tomorrow

Ended up in a&e last night with DS until 12pm (luckily it's just a chest infection that's already improving with antibiotics)
So we're having a nice chilled day at home today.

Baked a cake for my friends birthday tomorrow

Washed all the bedding

Made some soup with all the left over veg from the week to have with some bread for lunch

And I think we'll spend the afternoon doing some housework and snuggling on the sofa watching Disney movies!

@RabbitsRock I came out with a rather large selection of sparkly things ✨️. Resisted the urge to spend £30 on a pretty wreath with big pink flowers though - not convinced it wouldn't be pinched off the door round here 😢 I've ordered a different one off ebay instead this afternoon.

I'm just about to consider picking up my crochet Beegu whilst I wait for the shower to be free. She needs to be finished by Monday & is currently in pieces on my little table 🤔

I went to work in the bakery 6.30 did frozen delivery. Then finished at 10 but agreed to go back 12 till 2 on the till.
Ds1 who I lost at two hours old has been sending me ladybirds all over the place this afternoon... I'm a great believer in signs.
Now waiting for Mum to bring dinner and then will be watching Strictly...

I’ve ironed and just made chilli and rice for dinner.

It’s Day 2 of waiting for an Amazon delivery, a spin dryer which was due for delivery yesterday but hasn’t tracked since being on the way to the local delivery depot in the early hours of yesterday morning.
Not a small thing to get lost!
The only update on tracking is that it’s expected today but I’ve not had an out for delivery notification so I’ve lost all hope.

Rather annoyed that I’ve now lost two days waiting for this delivery.

Had a gorgeous day with the house to myself. Beautiful sunshine so got bedding washed and out on the line, loooong dog walk over the fields and cooked myself my fave food.

Went to fireworks last night and had bratwurst and hot chocolate with marshmallows and cream.

Today DH has been to see a friend for an hour and a half. DD been doing A level work. DS been gaming and eating lots of cake. He was in hospital for his 16th birthday so got him cake again and he has eaten half a big cake so must like it.

Had homemade French onion soup with cheesy croutons for lunch then Halloween brownie. Just deciding what to have for dinner.

Lots of driving in the rain yesterday, not home til 10, so quiet day today.

Rapidly running out of half term, so had to knuckle down to DD’s “Roman cooking challenge” - honey cakes were actually not awful!

Sausages for supper, ironing this evening.

Lazy day here, we’re away for two weeks in a village on the west coast of Wales. The weather has been pretty good, a real bonus!
Long dog walk this morning, and went on the beach for another mid afternoon.
Absolutely nothing planned in particular so enjoying sitting around, watching the sea and crocheting or reading.
Tomorrow will be more of the same although we’re going out for breakfast 😋

It must feel amazing!

3 football matches this morning. All losses worst one was 11-1 but never mind they all tried their hardest.
Then took ten 12 and 13 year olds ice skating and to Nando's. Well I say we took we were instructed to pay then stay out of the way 😆 so we went and had a nice lunch then bumped into some friends and had a glass of wine with them which was lovely.

I'm about to take my bra and make up off, put my pjs on and watch bodies in Netflix with a cup of tea.

Lovely and sunny so off for a dog walk around the reservoir (7 miles) which is beautiful on a day like this. Will stop halfway at the cafe. Cooking a Mediterranean style roast later. Happy Sunday everyone.😀
