Hi OP

Honestly mice are 100% more scared of us than the other way around - but I would avoid going near them or their droppings as they can carry diseases.

Put the lights on (they will hide) & go and do what you need to do, you'll be fine !

Don't have any food anywhere in the house except in cupboards that mice definitely can’t access.

LaDerniereVacheFolie is correct - lights on, make a noise and the mice will run for it. But tomorrow sort out stopping them getting into your house.

Put shoes on and cover legs
Wear rubber gloves gloves
Make noise before you go in and turn lights on they should scatter
With a broomstick shake the bag around
Then quickly bag it into another bigger rubbish bag and dump it outside
Then spray anti bac or wipes the floor area around it. Then dispose of gloves.
In the morning set up traps and block off entry.

Zero chance you only have mice in your bedroom.

StarTrek6 · 28/10/2023 07:03

Could you have carried the mouse there when you moved the bag of chocs.
Unlikely mice are normally in a food free area of the house. Unless you ahve a lot of them.

Thanks. We do have other mice, server been away so didn't leave traps down so they'd obviously been in do DH did put traps down before he came to bed.

Iput the light on and threw something at the bag to jiffle it whilst I went to the loo, then shook it and hung the bag so they couldn't get into it. DH stayed asleep.

Now getting up and want to make tea but sure there'll be mice in the traps, in three kitchen by the kettle.
