Best earplugs for snoring please

I need some seriously effective earplugs to cope with my partner's snoring, it's driving me mad. Please share recommendations. I can't cope with the foam type I can hear them crackle in my ears. I've been using the wax or silicone ones but ended up with some wax stuck inside my ear which has put me off this type. Any other kinds that I can try?

I use milder spark plugs, foam but best I've tried

White noise played through silicone earphones worked a treat for me. Sometimes have to experiment with different pitches though.

The only thing that worked for me was separate rooms.😩

Separate bedrooms...

I get on well with the silicone ones. Are you using it to cover your ear and not trying to use it to clog the hole?

Loops - there are several different types. You'll need the quiet ones, they're ace! www.loopearplugs.com

I use the "quiet" ones and they do the job pretty well for me.

Industrial ear plugs with a high decibel rating or separate rooms. I found even with earplugs, I could feel the vibrations through the mattress. You shouldn't have to move though, it's your partner's issue, they move.

For the longer term, your partner needs to get the snoring investigated and sorted out. ENT referral needed.

I've tried Happy Ears too, they were really good at blocking out sound, but I found them uncomfortable to sleep with after a while. Everyone's ears are different though, so might be worth a try?

I've tried them all. Separate rooms is the only way I sleep. It was that or divorce.

LongFaulks · 24/10/2023 07:16

Sorry OP I’ve tried them all and without a shadow of a doubt the best ones are the French wax ones Quies.
I throw them out after about 4 uses as they’re starting to get a bit drier by then (the instructions say single use which I think is a bit extravagant).
as other pps have said the best solution is separate rooms. Life is too short to be permanently knackered because you live with a snorer.

WhatAreYouAllAbout · 24/10/2023 07:17

Happy ears are the best I've tried.

Another vote for Quies
Alternately, boots sell wax ear plugs which are very similar.
Not sure on how good this is for your ears but I have to really ram them in (!) but once in does block out a lot of sound. I am a very light sleeper with slightly noisy neighbours and a toddler and a partner who snores. Wax earplugs for the win!

I use the flare audio sleep ones which work for me.

Thanks everyone
