NHS letters delivered to my house for people I don’t know

I’ve lived in this house over 20 years. In that time we’ve had a couple of people give our address for nefarious purposes (one got caught not buying a £2 train ticket), but this weekend we’ve had two letters delivered, marked NHS and CONFIDENTIAL, to our exact address and postcode but names I’ve never seen before.

There’s a return address on the back of each envelope, but I kind of want to complain to someone more directly. Would love to get some sort of answer about how come these people have given our address, but I know I’ll never know.

What would you do? Can you think of anything else I can do other than just return to sender?

That's interesting as we just received letters from the NHS to the previous owners of our house that moved out 18 years ago. I was wondering same thing about how to report it.

I've had two today! I've had the odd NHS letter for the same names over the 9 years we've lived here. Neither are the people we bought the house from. I've always put them in the postbox with Not Known At This Address, but still, the letters come a few times a year.
I just called my local GP to let them know, but I was 17th in the queue so gave up.

NHS must waste a lot of money sending these letters to people who have moved/deceased since it's not easy to stop them!

I just opened them and they're from a company called Our Future Health about a research project. They have an email address so I'll try to get them off the list with that.

We had one for someone who lived here 30 years ago. He had already written to us, including a sae so we could forward the letter. He said he had repeatedly told the NHS his new address. Last time I went to the doctors the computer had changed my name.

I heard back from the health survey company. She said:

To stop these letters being sent, please contact NHS England on 0300 303 5678

In Viz style top tips.. Go along to the appointments and get free medical treatment you don't need. 😁

We've had the same Covid letter for a previous occupier. We don't normally get his NHS letters. I think he moved out 7 years before we arrived! Returned to sender in the post.

We do get his annual TV license payment confirmation letter though. Repeatedly contacting TV Licensing has had no effect! (We also pay for and receive our own).

We've just received two this week for unknown people (lived her around 15 years). I've returned to sender.

Same here, i got two NHS letters plus!! A letter from DVLA for people who have never lived here. Feels like some sort of fraud.

Posted it back to the sender but worried
