How to get baked on egg off a 'non-stick' muffin tin

Has anybody got any tips? I want someone to say 'oh, 2 drops of vodka, wait 20 minutes and it'll slide right off' or something. I made crustless quiches yesterday and just started scrubbing the pan after an overnight soak (which didn't help), but I can't spend my whole Sunday morning doing that!

Thank you, wise MN-ers.

Soak it in the sink with a cheap dishwasher tablet (hard ones from Aldi etc) or bicarbonate of soda/ washing soda. If you’ve got a big pan, can submerge the relevant bit in the liquid and can have the same mixture on a rolling boil, even better. This tip works well with dealing with saucepans which have got burnt bottoms too.

I'd scoosh round neat washing up liquid no water and a scourer it should come off.

Anything I can't get off, I just do the same as @Wavingnotdrown1ng soak it with a dishwasher tablet for a bit. Always works for me.

Soak with a bit of bio washing powder in warm water

I've spent half the day trying these solutions, and in the end, the only thing that worked was baking the pan until the residue was completely desiccated. It fell off just fine, then!

In that situation, if an overnight soak hadn't worked, I'd try some Pink Stuff with a cloth, going carefully as it's non-stick.

And, in future, line your dish base with baking parchment.
